I have had a couple of pairs of the speedgoat boots and have been very happy with them. But they are no longer available. I'm always a difficult fit for boots so was reluctant to try anything else but got these and have been very impressed. Very comfortable, good fit in ankle area but roomy in toe box. A soft sole which I need. Couple of negatives ... the laces aren't the kind that stay tied without double knotting and the plastic lace devices are big and not as easy to use as metal. But none are show stoppers. Would definitely buy again.
After trying two other boots i pulled the trigger on these Hokas. Always been a Hoka fan but my last Hokas had durability issues. I’m about 60 days in to these and so far they are great. Super comfy, adequate sized toe box and black on black colorway, which is required for work. I average 15,000 steps a day in these. Cons : the way the heel portion of the sole extends out behind the actual heel of the boot, is awkward. I would go so far as to say they are a tripping hazard. The lacing system too is awkward. The lowest set of lace hooks could be eliminated and that would make lacing easier. The boot is a bit hard to get on too, but once you’re laced up, they have been great thus far. Overall comfort you would expect from Hoka, hope they wear better than my previous pair.
I like them. Very comfortable. I haven't soaked them yet but from what I can observe they are an excellently made shoe. The" last" looks almost custom made. It looks like an inner gortex sock painstakingly designed. (I worked in a ski shop years ago) I will review again in a year. I walk every day but am 67 and not a maniac. If you are a maniac purchase the $400 dollar shoes that weigh 10 pounds each and stop crying;)
As usual, these are very comfortable boots. Also, as usual, they suffer from poor quality. The pull loop on the back broke as soon as I pulled on it. For the price of these boots, I would expect better quality.
HOKA Anacapa 2 has been a life saver. Comfortable and durable! That is All
