Versatility and bright
Terrific in high strobe mode for increased safety day or night. Recommend it ! I mounted one to a seat pouch using Bontragers assembly ( see pictures) .simply melt a small hole with a hot nail and use a small fender washers.
Super Bright Flare worth the money
I went with this option although being pricier than others it performs the way it should. I tried a cheaper Rock Bros option off eBay and it didn’t work properly. The Trek Flare is well built, compact, chargeable and is super bright with different settings to switch from. Due to having a rear seat bag mounting it on the seat post was not an option so I mounted it on the frame down tube and it shines right through the rear triangle, it looks pretty cool. My take is spend the little extra money and don’t be disappointed with cheaper options.
Worked great until it didn't
Quit holding a charge after 1 year of occasional use, never in rain. Was fine while it worked, bright and small. But for $65 I expect a m ore durable light. Rubber seat post strap also broke, had to buy another.
