Cute jacket with most of the useful features. Unfortunately, there is no way to roll the hood into the collar and the hood has no way to secure it around your face in the wind. A significant design flaw at this price. Wish I'd realized that ahead of time. Also, it runs a little small so there is no room to layer much under the jacket. I'm returning it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket came all the way to the summit of Kilimanjaro! With so many various climate regions on the mountain it was a perfect jacket to have! Best feature: The two-way zip. I use it all the time
The double zipper is almost impossible to reliably zip, it gets stuck unless you line it up perfectly. Impossible to do with gloves on, at this price it should zip perfectly and easily every time. I can’t take this to Nepal and depend on it to work properly at high altitude when my safety depends on it working.
Got this in a size up, to layer over warmer clothes for winter travel to cold/wet climates. It is waterproof and that's a big plus in driving rain and wind. I don't love the army green color but the alternates were not available in the size I wanted. I took off a star for these issues. First, the hood (while adjustable with the back pull) is not great in wind. It is a bit oversized to fit over a heavy hat (or helmet) and wants to blow off. With just my Merino beanie, it leaves a lot of fabric behind my head. Second, the cargo pockets work but I wish there were waist level pockets. Hard to get a phone or wallet out of the pockets as designed. Third (minor) the hem adjustment would ideally work on both sides. It can be pulled tighter but bunches up more on the right side. Otherwise, a great jacket especially at the sale price. The pit zips are perfect. The velcro cuffs have a wide adjustment range. The 2-way zipper is useful. And rain tested - no leaks.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is of excellent quality. If you want to keep water out and are going to be in cooler temps I highly recommend it. I am using year-round for cost saving with layers or not. If I had the means I would use this only for colder temperatures which I think is what it was designed for.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ultralight Gore Tex shell perfect for hiking and biking. Superior quality to the PacLite Gore Tex shells, this offers more peace of mind with better waterproof and great breathability. Well worth paying a bit more to ensure dry gear while in a Rocky Mountain downpour.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried a few Marmot rain jackets, this is by far the best fitting if you prefer a less boxy fit. I got the jacket in nori, it’s a beautiful green, not too bright or dull. The sleeves may be on the longer side if you are petite.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Awesome! Lightweight, comfortable...not a typical plastic-ey crinkly jacket from other companies. Haven't had any rain to wear it in yet, (Arizona, need I say more?🤣) but I'm sure it will be awesome, based on the great way it's made!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] absolute lifesaver in Eugene, Oregon's unpredictable weather! it's exceptional protection against wind and rain and keeps you dry all day long. Wearing it on those rainy Oregon days, I felt protected.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Why dont they have a khaki color in this coat , I would buy for 400 only if they had the color I want but they dont have many choices , I wish they had the khaki color .
