I’ve been waiting for these sandals for over 25 ye
So, to understand why I am loving these sandals, you have to understand that I have odd feet. A very high arch, a toe shortened from a bunion removal and plantar fasciitis, I have problems finding regular shoes that are comfortable. I also walk between 40 and 60 miles a week as a dog walker. I can never find the right sandal - foot bed is too hard; Straps rub my scar from my bunion; Straps are too big and sandal won’t stay on my feet; Arch not high enough; and so on. I love the colors of these sandals to start with. They will go with everything this summer! The underside of the straps is cushioned so it doesn’t rub my feet. Adjustments are a breeze with the Velcro and they have enough coverage to secure my thin feet. The Bach strap around the back of my ankle adjusts quick and keeps it in place. I haven’t had any problems with it slipping. But the BEST thing about these shoes is the cushy footbed that makes each step so comfortable. The arch could be a little higher, and I’ll see over the next few days of wearing if it causes a problem, but THANK YOU for these awesome shoes!!!
Great arch support wish the toe strap were more cushioned.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There's a gap between the padded portion of the toe straps that will likely cause me blistering. The North Face stamp in the sole was poking my foot so I had to cut that down. Might blister feet.
I would buy this again
Love the design.They look good on me, and super comfortable to walk with.
constantly adjusting
I want them to fit tightly, but the heel adjustment won't stay in place. I'm constantly having to tighten them. I'm super disappointed. The quality of the shoe is good and will hold up, but I don't know how they'll fair on a hike. They seem long for 25cm. The foot bed seems big. I'm a size 8. They seem long. If they would stay tight, maybe they wouldn't seem long because they would fit correctly. I'm keeping them because I didn't know this problem until I wore them out and about for a day.
comes loose
I wanted to love them! They are so cute. They're comfortable and almost perfect. The buckle on the heel comes loose within a few steps after tightening. Had it also been velcro, the shoe would have been 100%. Am returning, super disappointed, hopefully they will have like a 2nd gen with better heal tightening. I'd get those for sure.
Footbed is uncomfortable and pinches your skin
Arch support, tread and sturdiness are great but the footbed has a deep pattern that pinches the sole of my foot as I walk on them. After 15 minutes I decided to box it back up and return. North Face should remove the tread on the footbed, or at least smooth it out. I felt like there were little pebbles in my shoe the entire time I wore them.
Walking on clouds
These shoes feel like I’m walking on clouds. Love how secure my feet feel with waking on different terrain to include sand. These is a back buckle strap for the heel for easy adjustment and stability. Wore them to the beach very easy to clean. Love love this color palette even my husband rave md about the design and detail when he saw them.
one huge design flaw
Bought this shoe and absolutely loved it at first try but sadly had to return. It’s the comfiest most cloud sole and love the Velcro top straps. Only huge issue is the back strap isn’t a Velcro like the others and won’t stay tight on the heel. I tried readjusting and even a diff size and both did the same. I’m super bummed since if this back strap was Velcro it would be the literal perfect shoe but my foot was falling out within 2 mins each time I tightened it and it would go all the way loose:(
