Not for me.
On the most basic level, this passport wallet has an OK design, but it's not something I'll be using. My passport fit nicely with slim but protective margins and the materials feel durable for the most part, although I noted that there were some manufacturing details that were overlooked that may affect its lifespan On a more personal preference level, I was not expecting or hoping for so much padding to be inside the wallet. With no passport or cards inside, and compressing the padding down between my fingers, this thing is already as thick as my passport itself. Uncompressed it is at least twice as thick. Once you add in a passport it becomes a decently bulky object, and finally after adding cards it gets a bit ridiculous. At first I thought that the snap placement may have been intended to make it harder for someone to access the cards inside without fully opening the wallet, but I quickly realized that it's just as easy to slip a finger in the top of the wallet and pull every card out with a single movement. There was one seam inside that had been very messily redone, and the edges of the rubber logo affixed to the front were already peeling up when this came in the mail. If you don't care as much about aesthetics or how long-term use will affect the wallet these are probably not important, but they did indicate to me that attention to detail may not be this brand's strong suit. At the end of the day, for the way that I travel I would be better served by a very simple protective passport sleeve and a standalone wallet that can be kept separately. This piece is much bulkier than I like for travel purposes, and I think there's a decent amount of security that can be gained by keeping wallet and passport in separate, secure containment.
Compact RFID Protection
This product is a solid choice for a basic RFID-protected wallet for passports and cards. I like its convenient small size that fits easily into most bags and suitcase pockets, and the fact that it is made from recycled plastic. The passport pocket is a snug fit, so I wasn't worried about my passport accidentally falling out during travel. However, the four credit card pockets did not feel quite as secure. The wallet only has one snap closure on the side, and I would feel more confident carrying cards or cash in this wallet if it had a zipper or other more secure closures.
Fits passport well, but could use some upgrades.
This wallet looks and feels nice and is a perfect size, but was missing some features that I thought were important. It fit my passport well which is nice without too much other bulk, but there really wasn't anywhere good to put cash. Also, the usual window for the drivers licenses' isn't there (not a huge deal, but different). When I travel I only carry a few cards and I felt like with a few cards in there, it was loose and they might fall out which is concerning. I shook it some and used it for the last few days since I have had it and they haven't fallen out, but it is still a concern. I also wasn't expecting the Asian inspired design on the inside. Not a big deal, but not my style. Three stars because it will likely work well for some, just not for me.
SECURE & GREAT MATERIAL n
This wallet is PERFECT if you want something lightweight, secure, and made from great materials. It doesn’t feel cheap like most wallets and I love how it’s not an overbearing amount of pockets to where I can’t find anything. The snap button is very secure, it feels good in my hand and I LOVE that it includes a passport holder. It made international traveling so much less stressful. 5/5 will be checking out their other products too.
Good lightweight travel wallet
First of all, the colour is one of my favourites so I enoyed it over having something black or bright and pop-y. It's really lightweight, and fairly thin profile so it fit well in my purse for a day out in the city and was easy to take in and out of my bag for swiping my train badge. I also tossed it in my hippack for hiking and really appreciated the lightweightedness. The fabric felt pretty durable to me. Overall, a nice travel wallet with 4 inner card pockets and on the other side a pocket good for cash - no space for coins at all. It has A RFID tag inside but I wasn't able to tell how well that worked.
Well made lightweight wallet
This is a good lightweight wallet to use when you only need to carry a few cards and things. It fits nicely in my sweater pocket and back pocket on jeans. Thin and soft bendable material. Easy to button close and open. I like that theres a pocket on each side along with the card slots one side.
Simple, sleek, & functional for day-to-day use.
The wallet design is simple, no-nonsense, and still sleek. It doesn't obviously look like a wallet straight-on. The outer material is sturdy & easy to clean if something is spilled. The inner material & snap all seem like high quality. Inside: There are four sleeves for ID and any cards which means the cards are tucked in tightly...but there is limited space. You can cram maybe four regular cards per sleeve, but that would make it non-functional as you could not retrieve the card without fiddling. The wallet does help simplify your cards down to 2-3 cards per sleeve. Twelve cards (as my picture shows) is a little tight, but manageable (2 of the twelve are very thin paper-type cards). There are two larger sleeves, one underneath the cards & another on the opposite side. There is sufficient space for some cash and/or passport. This product is better for those who are fine with fewer cards and small amounts of cash. This would theoretically be sufficient for travel, although I don't think the best safety-wise which I'll get to... Room for improvement: At first I really liked the simple design of the snap to hold everything together. However, I would be a little concerned with safety if I was to ever use this for travel. If you don't have *enough contents, I could see the potential for a card to slip out. And if you have too much, it won't fit. So, if you can get the correct goldilocks combo... Overall: I was in need of a new day-to-day wallet & this should suffice for me. I love that it is less bulky than a traditional style wallet & I can easily place it in my coat pocket. I probably will stick with my tried & true/ultra-sturdy wallet for any travel where I use a passport & safety is a higher concern.
Not What I Expected
Like any product being considered for purchase, the most important things to know are what you are needing & wanting it to do for you. That being said, here are some things to know when considering the Osaka wallet. My initial impression was not positive. I saw a cheaply made and poorly designed product. I was, honestly, expecting much more from Sherpani. Pros - (1) Built in RFID technology (2) Pretty exterior color (3) Slim profile, which allows it to fit in purses, backpacks, & larger pockets Cons - (1) If you carry paper currency, there are two interior pockets that could serve as a place for dollar bills. They do not offer ease of putting money into or taking money out of the wallet, though. Basically, you will be awkwardly cramming money into an ill fitting pocket. (2) If you carry coins, there is no coin section. (3) Very odd fabric on the inside with numbers on it that looks like leftover fabric that needed to be used. It is not at all conducive to the overall aesthetic of the wallet. (4) No specific place for an ID. Four slots for credit cards, IDs, etc. If you are seeking a product that will carry credit cards & a passport and has RFID technology, this could be a great option. If you are seeking a product that serves any further function, look elsewhere.
Defective snap closure
I love this wallet for travel, but I had to exchange it after the closure snap broke after 2 weeks of use. Unfortunately, the second one had the same issue a few weeks later and I'll be returning it.
Unique little passport wallet
Nice wallet with an interesting pop of color for those who don't want the drab old leather. Not actually sure who this is marketed towards, however. It's too large to fit into most women's pants pockets, but does fit into men's. It holds a decent number of cards, but put more than one into a slot and it starts becoming tricky to get them out. The single snap design is nice and firm. It hasn't popped open unexpectedly and doesn't seem like it would tear. The multiple storage spots for different kinds of money/your passport would be incredibly useful for traveling. I'll be testing it out more on my trip this summer.
