I bought two of these. While they look great and the material felt nice, I am giving it one star because of durability straight out of the box. When I put on one, I noticed a hole in the shirt. I went to take the tags of the second and noticed where the safety pin attached tags there were two sizable holes where the safety pin attached that looked like they would continue to grow. With both shirts having issues and needing to be returned I cannot recommend.
Great fit and material
I'm a big proponent of sun hoodies for outdoor activities. I love my REI Sahara Sun Hoodie and my Outdoor Research Echo hooie, but was looking for a lighter weight option that would dry quicker and that had better UPF protection. This sun hoodie is a great weight and I love the longer sleeves and torso length. The sizing chart is accurate; I'm 5'3", 140lbs and was on the upper end of the small size range based on my measurements, but the small fits great.
Best sun shirt I've tried!
I've been testing a variety of sun shirts (I did buy this one) and this one is my favorite in almost every category. It's roomy--as in, size down if between sizes--I ordered a medium (5'5, 130, 34A/B) and could have easily worn a small. It has the best hood ever--big enough for a large head, pony tail, visor, and can fit over the brim of visor on a windy day to help things stay on and create that tent effect for max shade of the face (It is missing a pony tail hole, sadly). The sleeves are really long (LOVE THIS) and the thumb hole is roomy and soft against the skin--can fit whole hand inside sleeve or wear over gloves easily. Thin material wicks moisture well, breathes as well as you can possibly expect for 50SPF, and works exceptionally well on warmer days if there is a breeze/wind. It's not supposed to be a a wind shirt which totally helps with the breathability. EVERYthing is soft, comfy against the skin, and isn't showing any signs of pilling from significant wear beneath various hydration packs. Janji hit a home run here--will use for paddle boarding, hiking, ultra trail running, kid sport/activity spectating, etc.
Love this!
I bought this shirt last month & love it! It’s lightweight so perfect for running on those hot sunny days in Hawaii. It’s very breathable. Dries quickly. No chafing. Love the hoodie-I use it when it super windy over my hat & when it’s raining.
Great design and fabric
This sun shirt has an ideal fit for me, having just the right amount of drape while not being too billowy. Sleeve length is just right, so it covers most of my hand without being too long. I think the hood design in particular is spot on, large and deep enough I can wear a hat with a bill that holds the hood further out to shade my face better. Fabric is soft and light yet very resilient.
Flattering
I like it so far. I went to get something like this in store, and I was amazed with how soft the texture was. The REI example that I looked at at sewing errors. The Janji, the seams on it were clean and pristine.
UV shirt
Love this top. Don’t get to hot but avoid getting burned
like but....
not quite what i expected....thought i wouldn’t feel as warm in it as I do....that it was made to be worn in hot weather to protect me from the sun..did i miss read something???
