I’ve been wearing Hoka’s for years and had switched to the Arahi’s for more stability a little over a year ago. My first two pairs, which were the Arahi 6, lasted about six months each before the tread wore down too much. My most recent pair, the Arahi 7, I’ve had for only six weeks, and the tread is worn down to the same degree as my others after six weeks. Some tread is even flopping off. So incredibly disappointed. I only use them for daily walks with my dog, so about seven miles a day. They should not only be lasting six weeks at this price point. Walmart shoes last longer.
Beware: received used pair of shoes from online order, size 5. Not mildly used either - soles worn, heels fraying, dirty. Just ordered a size 5 as a christmas gift. A little late now, but will return and have to find something else. Pictures might not do it justice but will try to post. Shoes were cleaned up, but still dirty.
These shoes have great support and cushioning but they seem to be narrower through the toe box. I have been purchasing Arahi for several years now and made the switch to the wide shoe when I developed arthritis at the base of my right big toe. These shoes were tight, and a little painful out of the box; they are also very firm. After a few wears, and a lot of lace adjustment, they are getting more comfortable but are definitely narrower. I hope the next update addresses this because these used to be the most comfortable shoes I owned.
The shoe is worn all black under used shoe was sent!
The new Hoka Arahi I purchased 2 months ago, now has torn and the treads have already worn out. I have been a Hoka loyalist for years, but after light use of my new shoes, I’m not sure what’s going on with their quality. My family has bought so many Hoka shoes over the years but there has never been an issue with their products.
There’s something very wrong with this show even though Hoka says it’s not different from the Arahi 6. I tried it for a few days, but couldn’t do it anymore with severe shin splints and start of knee pain. I’ve gone back to my tattered Arahi 6 until I find a different shoe, and returned Arahi 7.
Hoka Arahi 7 shoes is so comfortable to wear I already have 4 of it which 3 shoes I got from REI .I have problem with my feet and that’s the shoes that my podiatry recommend me and also thank you REI sales staff for being so nice and helpful, keep up the good work 👏👍
Hoka! What are you thinking???!!! The BEST thing about the Hoka Arahi shoe was the wide toe box. And now you've ruined it with the Arahi 7. Extremely narrow and very uncomfortable. Returned shoe straight away. Don't waste your time with this shoe.
I love all my previous hoka running shoes but these hurt my back and joints when running or simply walking for long periods. I thought they would break in but I’m still suffering a month later.
I am sad that I had to return my Hokas. I've been wearing the Arahi 6 with no issues, but like many have commented in the reviews the Arahi 7 toe box narrow. I wear a medium width and was surprised at how cramped my feet felt. Zero wiggle room for my toes. I'll need to search for another style or brand of shoe.
