2 weeks into this shoe and so far they are excellent. Light, supportive, and waterproof. I haven't tried them in the snow yet but I have high hopes. I mostly do 5km trail runs on fairly tame terrain and they perform great. To address my experience with the sizing comments - after reading all the reviews saying the sizing was off and fits large, I ordered a half size down. However, they were too small. I returned them and ordered my normal size and they fit perfectly. I have fairly wide feet and they seem just fine. I'm not sure if the sizing issue has been fixed, but I would say they are true to size (I use the EU system).
To agree with a few other reviewers here, the sizing on these shoes is off; they run large. I have the Aerios FL non-GTX in American W's size 7, so I thought I had figured out my Arc'teryx size and could order that for the GTX version. Boy was I wrong. These are 1/2 to 1 full size too large. Otherwise, the shoe has the same great traction as the Aerios FL, is well-made, and is quite light. There's adequate room in the toe box for expansion on trail hikes. However, I won't be keeping them because they're definitely too big and Arc'teryx doesn't offer exchanges. I bought these around Black Friday.
Overall I enjoy this shoe, I find it a tiny bit narrow so if you have wide feet, maybe not for you. Also I’m not sure how, but no matter what the laces come undone, even with a double knot
I haven't worn these shoes extensively yet, but the fit seems to be exactly what I have been looking for - secure in the heel, a wide (but not exaggerated) toe box, adequate volume in the shoe and good lacing structure for a custom fit and ability to accommodate different socks. This is something that I have found to be difficult to find, yet really appreciate. I expect good traction and longevity from the vibram sole. I purchased the black shoe - I love the slick, stealth overall look. I chose the gortex for both water protection, but also for a warmer shoe in colder weather. Note: I did need to size down one full size for a good fit. I typically wear a woman's size 8 and settled on a size 7. Handy information if you are ordering online.
When I first put them on I thought they were a bit stiff. But after just a few kilometres they became supple and contoured to my feet. They are really comfortable, with plenty of toe room. They are a little bit wide. But once laced up that's not an issue as they fit really well. With the coating on the outside from new water just ran off and the soles showed no wear at all after 10km on hard packed path. They also look just so cool!
Super comfortable hiking shoe, right out of the box! I ended up wearing these brand new shoes on a backpacking trip after I realized my old Arcteryx shoes were not fit to do the job. I was hesitant to take new shoes on a trip like that, but they worked out great! I don't love the color but they get dirty so fast it's not a huge deal. I usually wear a size 8.5 or 9 and the 8.5 always works out well for me in Arcteryx shoes.
Living in Vancouver has its challenges when looking for quality footwear at an affordable price. The goretex footwear designed by Arc-teryx checks all the boxes. It's lightweight, there's adequate volume, width and support in the toe box. The foot feels supported in the shoe. Note: The conversion from Europen to American sizing is off scale. It helps to know the length of your foot. I generally wear 9 - 9.5 US ( approx. 10in or 25.4 cm ) and found the 8 - 8.5 was on scale with the general EU to US conversion. I purchased the 8.5 which measures in at 25.5cm and left enough wiggle room. My only critique would be heel slippage regardless of size. This may be due to having a flatter arch and needing additional support in the insole. Overall I am very impressed with the craftsmanship, design and fit of this shoe. Looking forward to seeing how these stand up to the weather.
I have what appears to be an earlier version of this shoe. The earlier version is a perfect fit. The edge of this new shoe comes right up to the bottom of my anke bone and rubs it. I bought some heel inserts, which help, but the comfort level still isn't the same as that of the older shoe.
I hoped to switch from my old Norvan's to the Aerios, but the sizing is off. The difference between 6.5 and 6 was huge (6.5 too large and 6 too small). Going back to the Norvan's, hope they have not adjusted the sizing on them.

I got these shoes a couple of months ago. They are versatile shoes that worked great for all of my mountain endeavors. From 5km trail runs to 25km hikes, they are light, water proof, and very supportive.
