Great Crop! Soft, great material
As a plus sized girl, it is often hard to find something that is functional and cute to wear. I was wary about wearing a crop top, but let me tell you, this looked great! I wore this with leggings. It was very comfortable and the material was very soft. The hood is the right size and does not fall back. It is a fitted hood when you zip it. There are thumbholes. Whats great about the thumbholes is that when you are not using them they blend into the sleeve into a fold, so you don't see the hole and it isnt bulky on thw wrists when you are wearing it. I wore a size large which fit just fine. I layered it with a camisole underneath with faux leather leggings and it dolled it up a bit. This is great for errands, lounging and sport activities. When it gets warmer I am looking forward to hiking in this
Great top layer for a sunny day
Love this sun crop! Its incredibly soft and super breathable. I have been looking for a sun hoodie for a while and this fit the bill. Really like the thumb holes and half zip features. I usually wear anywhere between an xs and m in tops and opted for a medium here as I planned to use it as a top layer for hiking and trail running. It fits as expected, and I'm really happy with the crop length. I've used it twice now and the fabric has held up great in the wash so far.
Soft, light weight, cute crop top
I got it in the XL and it is definitely tight and a crop shirt. The material is very soft and thin which is great for layering and I love the fact that it has sun protection. The inside is a light blue color and the outside has a bullseye tie-dye pattern with browns and light blue/white. I like that it is something small and compact to throw into a bag to take on a hike or trip. Also love the addition of a full coverage hood for sun protection. Super cute and comfortable, I would personally size up next time.
It was ok for me
Sizing and fit- since I’m curvier, I went with an XL on this crop top but should have gone with a large. It was looser especially in the back but not horribly baggy. The crop was slightly below the navel on me. Look and feel- Tie dye has to be a certain way for me and despite the neutral color, I didnt feel like it looked good on me. The material itself was soft and comfortable but clingy when I got sweaty during a workout both indoors and out. I did like the thumb notches to keep the sleeves from going up and minimizing wind going up my arms.
Works hard, looks great!
There’s multiple things to love about this piece. First of all, the thumb holes are a feat of engineering! Mountain Hardwear made the length of the sleeves at the thumb hole LONGER than normal because then your thumb isn’t getting pulled back, or your shirt’s pit isn’t getting pulled down; basically, it fits properly! It’s also not just a glorified button hole, it is multiple pieces of fabric properly reinforced and sewn together in overlapping pieces that ensure comfort and zero chafing. The remaining fabric in front of the thumb hole is substantial enough to provide some protection from the elements. The fit is another thing to loved especially for a short person like myself. I had about an inch of hem going past my waist, and I’m 5’2”. I received a medium and it has great drape. Other Mountain Hardwear pieces without stretch did fit more close to my body, so while I think this is true to size, I think the crop and heavier stretch fabric make it roomier and a little boxier. The fabric itself is another plus, and I think that it is perfect for the intended purpose. It’s breathable but not so much that you’re losing body temperature very rapidly. This would be perfect for low cardio use, like hiking. The stretch makes it perfect for rolling your sleeves up! I put it through its paces and wore it to a spin class, and the sleeves stayed rolled up through the entire workout. Breathability was an issue there but that was to be expected from the high intensity of the workout. The construction of the piece is nice! Flat seams everywhere. I can see myself layering under warmer layers and never having any seams rub my skin raw. I loved it.
light weight weight, stylish, and packable
This is a new surprise staple in my closet. Perfect stylish, light weight layer for long hikes or knocking out errands in the city. Print was fun and neutral, but my favorite part was this fabric!!! It is so light weight, buttery soft, and breathable. When I was ready to shed a layer, it was easy to tie off or pack away. I didn’t need the hood but the thumb holes always come in handy. Sizing wise I like a looser fit so sized up one. This way it hits at just above the wait and of my leggings.
Well Designed, Cute, Comfortable
This top is so light and soft. Absolutely buttery. It moves nicely during a run or hike. I love this for spring hikes, and plan to bring it on summer backpacking trips as it weighs almost nothing, offers easy sun protection, and is a nice insulator against a bit of wind or evening chill. Great fit, looks cute and technically sound design.
Just buy it!
Best purchase I’ve made, I were it for every hike and love how light weight it is!! Wish they would make more that aren’t tie-dye.
Nice cut for short people on this sun shirt
So, I’m conflicted about this top. The cut is great for a short person like me. Definitely not too long like most tops. It will perhaps allow a little breeze beneath it on hot summer days. But since it’s a sun shirt, shouldn’t it cover all of my upper body skin? Like it’s a bit weird that a tiny bit of my stomach peeks out if the goal is to wrap my upper body up in UPF 50. And the color/pattern is just bad. Sorry Mountain Hardwear. No one wants a light blue top with light brown tie die on top. No one. So yeah, conflicted but I will definitely be trying it out on the beach this summer! Hopefully no one comments on the truly awful color.
Very cute and comfortable
Love this top! Its really comfortable and has a really soft texture. I got a medium and im 4'10 at 150lbs and it fits me well. Wished it was cinched at the waist a little bit more but i still love it! I also like how the color/pattern is pretty practical so I can go backpacking in it without worrying about how dirty itll look
