I am very happy with these trail runner shoes. They are lightweight and breathable, and the color is neutral and good looking. I wear these for walking outside, and for using the treadmill. It’s still rainy here, so I’m not on the trails just yet. The contour of the sole is the perfect shape for making walking and running really seamless and comfortable. They’re also really comfortable - very padded on the inside. I feel like I’m walking on a cloud, yet it’s very supportive. Much more supportive than my last pair of running shoes. I would highly recommend these for the gym (treadmill, walking or running) and outdoor walking. I have a great feeling they’ll be perfect for the trails once the weather cooperates!
Very comfortable, but the longevity is HORRIBLE. At first, I was rolling my ankles a bit, I got used to the shoe and was able to work with it. My main concern is that they started to fall apart after less than 20 miles on them, and I am completely retiring them at around 90 miles. They did work just ok for the desert/sandstone types of terrain I was using them on, but I felt like I had to put in a lot more effort and the shoe didn’t do much. For the price point, they aren’t worth it and definitely not a great trail shoe. Less than 100 miles for a trail shoe (priced at $160 when I purchased) is crazy.
I’ve never worn this brand before and was siked to try it! This is a trail runner and with that in mind, I expected a much heavier shoe. Was pleasantly surprised at how lightweight this brand is even in trail model. So very impressed with the cushioning. I normally wear a very heavily cushioned stability shoe, and because this is known to be a lighter shoe was expecting something more minimal. This shoe actually has plenty of nice cushioning in the heel and midsole. I’m very impressed with how generally comfortable this shoe is. I have a wide foot and a history of plantar fasciitis, so am very particular. The comfort and cushioning made me feel very agile and light. No complaints from my feet, no rubbing here or there, and I felt very confident with the grip when walking on dirt trails, uphill and down. I like the breath ability as well, plenty of airflow through the top. The laces are anchored at the front of the shoe with black ties and I worry that those might break if you’re one that really laces up tight, time will tell! For now I’m really enjoying this new to me brand! Working great for me on park trails, unpaved.
This was my very first On sneakers, and I learned that it was worth the hype. The first thing I noticed was how comfortable the shoes were overall. I didn’t even need time to break it in, it was comfortable from day one. However, it did feel a little too bouncy for me in the beginning, but once I got used to it, the thick cushion made both walking and running feel very smooth. The shoes are very light for the amount of cushioning that they have, and the material is very breathable. Even after a 10-mile walk around a partially paved trail with some incline, my feet did not hurt and my gait felt stable even when walking up or downhill on an uneven path. For being trail running shoes, it was also great for preventing pain and fatigue during a long day of walking around the city.
I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. I. LOVE. THEM. These are like walking on springy clouds...as if you were on a treadmill propelling you forward everywhere you go! They are well balanced, supportive of the foot, and stable, yet incredibly soft. It is really hard to explain but if you like a springy, yet stable support, these are amazing. I want to walk forever when I put them on. They are extremely breathable and the top of the shoe and tongue are well stitched and engineered. The shoe is extremely light and dries quickly from the top- def within 20 minutes or less. I didn't soak the shoe tho, so I am still not sure how well the sole dries? What is nice is that the bottom of the shoe is also relatively high so you can walk through small, shallow puddles and wet ground with minimal discomfort (if you are not a fan of wet shoes). The back of the shoe has a really nice feature where it is a high, firm back of the heel making them really easy to put on while standing (if you need to be quick!) and they do not rub on the Achilles tendon. They are immediately comfy- they required zero breaking in for me. They are also cute- I got the lighter color and I wear them everywhere now. I will get back to you on how long they last with constant use :)
I’m super glad I gave these shoes a try! I was intrigued by the look of the soles… I don’t think I’ve seen anything else like them and wanted to know how the design impacted the feel of the shoe and what it felt like to run in them. I ended up loving the few trail runs I’ve had in them so far. The shoes, both sole and upper, are very light but definitely provide the cushion and support that I look for, and as a runner with plantar fasciitis, support is very important to me. Design feels very modern without being too out there, and construction feels sturdy. Overall, great shoe!
These shoes are excellent! They run a tiny bit small, but there is a ton of arch support and cushion. I also really like how the laces are configured - makes it really easy to slip them on and off. Lastly, the color is gorgeous! I like that the lilac shade is distinctive without being too bright like some neon shoes you see these days. Will definitely keep wearing these on and off the trail!
These shoes are so comfortable. They have so much cushion, which has been difficult to find in a trail shoe. They have room in the toe bed and pronation support as well. The gray color with plum details is subtle and cool.
These are so cute and easy to wear! It took a quick minute for me to get used to the sole being so squishy and the ball mount of the foot being on a slight decline. Laces and trim are glow in the dark which I thought is cool! I’d definitely purchase these in the future to go trail running!
I really wanted to love these based on friends recommendation. I bought these primarily to use at work. I’m in the medical field and I am on my feet for several hours a day. I loved them at first and thought these would be great shoes. Now I know that shoes aren’t supposed to last forever but for the price I paid, I expected to get more than a year and a half for these especially since they are my work shoe and not my running/ Work out shoes which I’ve had for over two years and are perfectly fine. These shoes now have holes tearing into the both heels to where it’s uncomfortable. Probably will be my last pair for awhile but I do like the color I got.
