Trucker hat
I needed a new hat as my ON mesh hat had faded and the brim is worn. I use a variety of the arcteryx gear, mainly for skiing but figured I’d try the hat. Functionality wise, it keeps my hair out of my face when running, the mesh provides ventilation, however the bill is much shorter than my previous hat, so it doesn’t protect my eyes as much from the sun. This could be mitigated with sunglasses but those tend to slip and slide when I sweat, plus a hat has a bill for a reason. Additionally, maybe that’s how normal trucker hats are supposed to be though (I’m not a hat conisseuer). I noticed a comment about the design, giving someone a headache, I experienced this too. However, upon sizing it correctly, this was mitigated. Like any piece of equipment, proper usage is necessary.
Great hat, ignore the bad reviews
Purchased mine in-store, really like it, and came to look at other colors and was shocked to see all the negative reviews. I love the trucker shape - shorter bill, higher crown, and a nice design feature that allows the strap of the hat to stay flat against your head regardless of how you bend the bill. Materials feel very high quality, and it's very breathable in the heat. It can handle sweat: I've worn it for a week of long hikes and even backpacking, but it's not meant for trail running or other super-high exertion activities, so if that's what you're looking for, pick something else designed for those activities. Considering buying it in a few other colors I like this one so much.
I didn't like trucker hats... until now!
I have always found trucker hats to be too boxy and uncomfortable. I never understood why people liked them until I picked up this one! The brim where your forehead meets the hat is cushy and breathable, and unlike other trucker hats, fit the shape of the head perfectly! As a historically "dad hats only" person, this has really changed the game for me. Highly recommended for those hot summer days and outdoor missions! Did I mention it's also really cute?
Pricy status symbol, not practical for the $
Looks cool and very breathable but… I regretfully bought the light colored one. The fabric gets so dirty so fast. Worse than that, there are no wash instructions. If you plan on doing anything more outdoorsy than walking to the grocery store or sitting around at the beach, do not buy this hat. I tried washing it in cold water on the gentle cycle. Nope. Still stained and now it has permanent wrinkles.

Tech Trucker is awesome
My first Arcteryx cap. All I can say is DANG! This thing is comfy. I didn’t know you could make a trucker hat technical but they did. The lower profile fit is nice, not too small, not too tall. The curved brim option is not too curved, but especially comfortable with the brim cutout area so it won’t press on your brow. Material is super soft. Hopefully it’s breathable.
All-Time Favorite Hat
I have a gigantic, oval-shaped head and an oval-shaped face, and as a result almost no hats fit my head/face very well. This hat is the only hat I’ve ever found that I don’t have to constantly adjust because the shape isn’t a perfect circle, and the curved brim is super flattering. It’s also fantastically lightweight. I have two of them, and my only complaint is that one of them got squished in my luggage coming back from a trip and it was slightly hard to reshape. Finally figured out that a good steam brings it back to life. 10/10 would recommend to anyone with a big, oval head like mine.
Don’t waste your time with this hat
I bought the solitude color hoping for a white hat as is pictured. Turns out it’s actually a mid level gray/silver? Looks like it should be a part of a pest control uniform. Returned that, well… tried to. Their online return form is not only lengthy but glitchy so I had to call them during business hours. Finally got that returned; haven’t seen my refund yet. ordered black and they sent it in a polymailer so the brim is broken in half, permanently creased. Will be sending that back as well. Done trying! Arc’teryx, ship hats with brims in boxes, not 24x24 polymailers with no protection.

The perfect cap!
I have over 30 different hats, caps, beanies for outdoor adventures and this is by far the best! Fits securely, lightweight, thin around the edges and behind the ears. I never write reviews but felt compelled to. My first piece of Arc Teryx gear and I will defo look to them for my next purchase.
Very Poor Quality
Ordered this item despite the negative reviews. I own 5 or 6 Arcteryx caps and love the comfort, fit and quality. Unfortunately the reviews on this one were correct. The quality compared to previous trucker hats is very very noticeable. I don't normally write reviews but the materials have changed so much. It was like a soft foam which felt very cheap and the fit was awful. Like the front of the cap had collapsed. If the design doesn't revert, I'll never buy another Arcteryx trucker cap again which is a shame because they're usually my favourite. I returned the item.

Love this hat
It’s a great hat. Wear it all the time and it’s pretty durable. Think I like my version that has the brand name w/ the bird logo better than this logo only version though.
