Solid ski pants

Product Overview: These are nice pants with a light insulation. I wore base layer under them and stayed warm all day. The material does a good job of blocking out wind and snow. Sizing/fit: These run true to size. I am 5’5” and 165 lbs with an athletic build and am wearing a Medium. I would probably do better sizing up (and they do have Velcro adjustments in the waist to cinch them in if needed). Size up if you are on the fence. The length was perfect for me. Pros: -comfortable all day -love the material, it moves with you but is also very protective. -good pockets and pocket placement -lots of vents for warm days -the pants fit snug around boots which I appreciate for keeping snow out of boots -they have a lace clip if you have boots with laces. Cons: -The zippers are tiny. Even with the little string, they are hard to grab with ski gloves/mittens Final thoughts: These are on the pricier side but they are also a solid pair of ski pants. I can see them lasting for many seasons with minimal wear and tear.

Sizing is weird

I wanted to like these pants. I tried on a pair of snowbelle pants last year that fit well. However, the sizing in these is weird. The medium was huge in the waist and butt, but fit well everywhere else. The small fit in the waist and butt but was too small everywhere else.

Really warm and water resistant

These are a fantastic weight and insulation level. They are fantastic for skiing and stay water resistant in snow for several hours. In rain they were wet in about 20 minutes of moderate rain. These are on the long side, for which I have no real complaints. The go fairly easily over boots and keep legs and feet dry and warm (assuming you have good boots). If you have shorter legs, you may find they bunch up at the bottom a bit. The crotch is a little tight but not too bad for more heavy-moderate to extreme lower body activity (like snow shoeing on a significant incline or mogul skiing). If you are on the skinny side, you may not notice as much. If you are built more athletically, like me, you may feel they are a touch restrictive. The waist is made for people with a smaller, higher waist relative to their hips but I was able to move around in them with relative comfort while I was active. I will have more pics and videos once we get actual snow but for now I have included some that just show fit and length a bit better. But you cannot beat the quality of the stitching and material, as well as the surprising light weight relative to the amount of warm insulation that these pants provide. 10/10 there. 7/10 in sizing.

Stay warm this winter with these pants!

The pants present like any other goretex ski pants initially. Solid construction and flattering fit. They do run a bit large though so unless you like wearing extra thicker layers underneath the insulated pants make sure to bring a belt. I was not a huge fan of the mesh air zips however that's probably just due to being used to non-insulated ski touring pants that don't have the mesh layers at those vents so not a dealbreaker. If you are looking for some all around solid black ski pants these will do. I imagine these are perfect for romping around on a snowmachine or snowball fights and lift serve skiing.

Moderately insulated ski pant

These pants are moderately insulated all over, and have all of the basic features you'd want in a ski pant, with a few thoughtful touches. They'll mainly be resort pants for me, but I also have worn them on cold backcountry days or when I knew we'd be moving slow and standing around a lot. The side vent zips keep me from overheating on uphill climbs. I prefer pants with side vents on the outside of the leg, which is where they are on this pant and they're of a generous length so that you really feel the difference when they are open. The diagonal pocket on the front side of your right thigh is an appreciated extra storage location. When I don't have gloves on I appreciate that the two hip pockets have a soft, brushed fabric interior. In fact, the nicest thing about these pants may be the overall quality of the fabrics. The main exterior of the pant is soft and silky (the word buttery comes to mind), without being glossy and the interior ankles are reinforced with a different, durable fabric, as are the bottom edges of each leg. I'm 5'3" and do regret not getting the short version that Patagonia offers, but the size small fits my 28-29" waist perfectly.

Finally found ski pants which fit curves

I am a CrossFitter and relatively curvy woman. I have large quads/thighs but not an exceptionally large waist, nor am I particularly tall. These are the ONLY ski pants I was able to find which actually fit through my hips and thighs. I used to wear the North Face Freedom pants (size L) but those became too tight in the thigh. I tried on several sizes of ski pants this year, from Medium, Large, and XL across various brands. They were either too tight for my thighs or fit my thighs but the rest of my legs/waist were swimming in fabric. This was the right balance and worth the extra $. I skiied Whistler in snow/wind and they kept me warm enough with heavy leggings underneath.

Great fit and flexibility - will wear for years!

Ideal hard-to-find length for shorter legs without having to compromise hip width. The back rises up higher, minimizing any possible gap for cold air. Spacious pockets. Straps for adjustable waist size are on the inside of the pant but are not scratchy or bulky. Comfortable wearing for spring skiing with vents open on lower mountain and easy to zip up when wind picked up at higher elevation. I didn't want to pay this much for ski pants - even on sale - but the Patagonia guarantee and the completely comfortable fit sold me.

Perfect Fit

I tried on almost every pair of women’s snow pants at my local REI, and these fit perfectly! I am 5’ 3” and 125-130 lbs and I bought a size Small Short. Most others were too tight in the thighs or waist, and if I sized up in other brands the waist was then too big. These pants have a lot of maneuverability and will make skiing and winter hiking much warmer! They are also fairly lightweight, I will still use a compression packing cube to get them to fit better in my suitcase.

CURVIER WOMEN OF REI REJOICE!

This pant was definitely out for the curvier women of REI! To give you an idea my waist is about 33-35 & my hips measure about a 45ish & I have finally found a pair of snow pants that fits my figure perfectly (I went with a Large) while giving me enough comfort room so that I am not restricted! LOVE!

Fading after one season.

Wanted to love these pants. Fit great, good insulation. But after just one season the butt is super faded. I would expect more from this brand and price.
