Features

  • Unique Tension Ridge maximizes the livable space versus the footprint of the tent, offering more room around the head and shoulders
  • Tension Ridge allows for a wide vent at the highest point of the tent, helping minimize condensation build-up
  • Unlike most vent designs, the Apex Vent doesn't require a mesh panel to maintain tension across the fly, which allows for better airflow
  • Control airflow to manage humidity and condensation in wet conditions by opening or closing the Baseline Vents; face one vent into the wind for the most effective airflow
  • The inner mesh panels are engineered for maximum airflow while maintaining no-see-um and sandfly insect protection
  • Multiple configuration options means this tent adapts to the weather or your activity: try Fly Only Mode, Inner Only Mode, Dry Set-Up, Partial Fly Mode or Classic Mode
  • The unique Quick Connect Foot means in wet weather you can set the fly up first and take it down last to keep your inner dry

tent review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great tent for kayaking or car camping but would not take back packing. Loved that you can take it down while leaving the rainfly up.

Get rid of the rainfly zipper!

I still like the tent and have both the 3 person and the 2 person. I did have the 2 person leak a small amount through the roof zipper on a 14 day Quetico canoe trip last summer. I could see it on the mesh of the tent. Massive amounts didn’t come through. Not sure it ever actually dripped through the mesh of the main body. Was on my mind though all night! Did it drip? Did it just drip on my sleeping bag? It didn’t but definitely didn’t like it. So I just seam sealed both the 3 person tent and the 2 person tent I own. Still think it’s a great tent! They need to get rid of the zipper idea in the rainfly though. Now that the lighter tougher, more rainproof fabric cam out upgrade it to that!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this tent on a gravel bike trip in Wyoming and Montana. I didn’t have to pack it on my bike-it was carried on a van. This tent is easy to set up. I loved that it has 2 doors and how spacious it is. It has lots of pockets for storage. Im happy with my purchase of this tent!

Sturdy Tent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this tent for my teen age daughter. She likes to camp and her old tent was just worn out and not worth repairing. So far we have been lucky and have not experienced any severe weather so i cannot attest to how this tent holds up in the wind or rain. Its sets up quickly and looks to be very sturdy. The rain fly is good and large. I like that the screens on the sides of the tent are well above the ground. This should prevent wind blown rain for making its way in like it does on tents where the screen is lower to the ground. The top vents zipper closed but i have to wonder if there is still not a chance of wind blown rain entering at the top of the tent. I guess we will just have to wait and see. The zippers work very well. The tent is very roomy for a two person tent. So far my only suggestions for improvement are to make the compression straps on the bag go all the way around the bag so they are not dependent on the stitching and add a carry handle. Other than that I am very satisfied so far.

Beautiful tent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this tent after our lovely loyal LLBEAN 3 person needed to retire. It’s a great design, lots of headroom, handy inner pockets and loops, helpful colour coding. For some reason there was a leak happening during our first 2 outings. I reached out and true to their work a replacement fly was sent. I still wonder why the first one leaked, one of life’s mysteries I guess. Many thanks Sea to Summit for your support

Call Me When You Redesign the Roof

I lived in this tent for a week-long rafting trip down the Middle Fork of the Salmon in June. I absolutely loved it—until it rained. -Durable fabric? Check -Pleasant colors? Check -Comfortable square footage? Check -Well thought-out pockets? Check -Generously sized stuff sack for repacking the tent into? Check -Corresponding footprint that gives you a little “patio space”? Yes—and it’s so awesome for keeping things clean and dry in the vestibule! -Acts as a sufficient shelter during a storm? Unfortunately, not! The kickstands that hold open the vents wicked rain drops right into the tent! A tent pole broke during a night of 20-30mph gusts. I would love to rate this tent higher (I genuinely miss it!) but the most basic purpose of a tent—shelter—isn’t quite met with the current rainfly design.
