Good all around shoe
Our kiddo has worn these for a few weeks now and really likes them. She likes how they feel when running and likes the style. Her feedback is that they’re a little less cushy in the sole than she would like. After a long day of walking one weekend her feet were a bit sore. However she really loves these as a daily shoe and overall finds them comfortable. They’re easy to slip on/off without having to tie and hold up well to the wear and tear of a kiddo.
Great shoe, with some potential for improvement
I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. The On Cloud Sky Road Running shoes are a high quality, lightweight shoe that is extremely comfortable, but with a few caveats. Pros: 1. Great quality out of the box 2. Comfortable and supportive insole upon initial use 3. Stylish look 4. The slip on laces definitely have versatility in an every-day shoe use case. Neutral: 1. Durability isn't clear, since the use has not been extended yet beyond a handful of weeks 2. The looks are not for everyone, one of my kids liked how they looked... the other said they were boring. Cons: 1. The opening at the bottom can trap debris, including rocks, requiring manual intervention to remove them 2. The eyeholes could benefit from being reinforced to add to the build quality rather than just seemingly laser cut/pressed. Maybe some of the same material as the toe guard put around each eyelet. 3. The default laces that are installed are just a friction elastic, which while useful, for a running shoe you sometimes want more security than they provide. The included but not installed laces help provide that. 4. The insole doesn't seem to hold up to all day use, getting less comfortable and supportive as the day goes on Overall, these are a good running shoe and work well as an everyday shoe, but at a bit of a steep cost considering how hard kids are on everyday shoes.

@rei #reitrailblazers So, I was sent these really nice summer shoes from REI for boys to provide an honest review. They are a youth size 5 and were too big for my son, sadly! However, I will make this post about the quality and some details of the shoe and then post in the next couple of weeks on how my nephew felt about them :) They should fit him nicely. So here is what I can say: The quality is good on these shoes, tho- the seams are reinforced and they are really solid. The mesh on the top and sides really breathes and we got them wet to see how long they took to dry- it was about 2 hours or less indoors. I can imagine that it is even faster on the foot- and certainly much faster in the sun! The sole comes out so you can wash it (very helpful with boys!) and goes back in easily. I think it took 30 min with good air circulation for the sole to dry. It's thin but strong material. The stretchy laces are really nice and it makes it easy to get the feet in without untying because who really has time to untie shoes when you need to run your bum off outside during the summer?? The base of the shoe is hard but seems to absorb shocks pretty well. It is also easy to clean, if that is your thing lol I will post more once my nephew has a chance to try them out in WA state! My son loved the look of them and was really disappointed they didn't fit him. They seem to run true to size tho both in length and width. Stay tuned! Update: Here they are in action (see pics)! He loves these shoes :) They are comfortable, sturdy and dry really quickly (see previous post with description on drying time and physical details). He said they were light but sturdy and easy to wear anywhere- from camp to playing outside in the yard. They are also really easy to clean and don't show dirt quickly. He hasn't taken them off :) Would absolutely recommend!
Comfortable & stylish
My 11 year old loves these and says they feel like clouds! They are super lightweight, and she loves that they slip on easily but don’t come off unless you want them to. The tongue design is perfect and doesn’t move around at all. Since we got them they are the only shoes she wants to wear and she says they are comfy all day long. We live in Arizona and usually live in sandals so the fact that she can wear them all day is impressive! She was worn them for hiking and for summer camp which includes a lot of activities.
Good quality, runs small.
These shoes look very well made and my son said they felt good when he first put them on. He’s a size 3 in his other sneakers and we tried these in a 4. We were hoping these would be perfect for school in the fall but curiously he found these shoes to run much smaller than his other shoes. The eyelet of the first hole for the laces is metal and he unfortunately found it rubbed his ankle. We switched to the laces and he still ended up with a red mark from the irritation. Not sure if he would get used to this but it was unfortunate. The tongue needed to be a little bigger he said for it not to rub. I had high hopes for these shoes and he said they were comfortable but just not the right shoes for him.
Great kid shoe
My 11 year old daughter loves these shoes. She was hesitant at first because of the “loose” feeling not being tightly tied. BUT now she absolutely loves these because they are so comfortable and easy on/off. It’s nice that the shoes come with the elastic lace and the regular shoe laces.
Fell apart & On will not honor its warranty
My son wore these for about 6 weeks, mostly at school, and the sides of the shoes wore holes at the fold where the ball of his foot plants. The seam is also wearing away at the toe box. On refused a warranty claim because they claim that these defective wear patterns were instead caused by an external source. Avoid these shoes and avoid this brand.
Holes developed in fabric within 3 months
I was excited to see these shoes being made in kid sizes, since I love my adult shoes. However, in three months of normal kid play (ie not sports team practice, etc), my daughter developed a hole in the fabric of each shoes, up near the toebox. My daughter is not super rough either, I fear how these would hold up to her younger brother. Given that you pay a premium price for these sneakers as opposed to other brands, I would caution others that these shoes may not be up to the durability of normal kid activity. She otherwise loved the shoes, especially how you can slip them on and off, so this is too bad.
Comfortable everyday sneaker
These sneakers are very comfortable, lightweight, and has nice cushion for foot support. My daughter finds them comfortable even though they are still a little big but she will grow into them. There is a good selection of gender neutral colors. The bungee laces make it easy for my daughter to slip on and off. I like it also came with the option of regular shoe laces in addition with the bungee laces in case we want to switch them out. Overall, happy with the sturdiness and comfort of this sneaker.

We love on cloud shoes! They are very comfortable and durable. They do feel like you are walking on air. The run a tad bit wide for my kids but other than that they’ve been great. I would probably size down half a size.
