The reason I got this bike is because it was on a huge sale, and it was less than $4k. If it was not on sale like that; then I don't know if I would've purchased it. It looks beautiful and has lots of high end components as you would expect. I also like the Bosch motor. This bike has basically everything I wanted or needed already built into it. Is there always going to be better or higher end? Yes, but this is pretty loaded. So why 4 stars? 1) it is comfortable and the motor/drive train is very smooth. 2) the overall value is excellent. 3) the durability is great ( haibike is made in Germany) 4) the pedal assist up to 20 mph is so much fun and I ride UP the mountain at around 12mph. 5) the battery seems to be on par with their claims and what you would expect with this size of battery. 6) I purchased this bike in 2023 and it is a 2021. That is ok because I knew this before purchasing. What I don't like is how loud the bike is. After just one ride I took it back to REI and had them do a full tune up because it creaked and rattled. After I got my bike again I took it on another ride and while it is significantly better; it still creaks in areas, and I don't know why it where. This doesn't affect the functionality, but it's obnoxious. Currently I like the bike and gave it 4 stars because of the price I got it at. If it continues to sound like a 60 year old bike after each few rides; then I don't know what I'll end up doing with it. While I do get free tune ups from REI for 2 years; I also don't want to give my bike to them every couple weeks. Overall I'm happy with it, but only time will tell if it stays that way.
It has almost everything I was looking for a good ebike. Specs are spot on. Been riding this awesome bike for 3 saturdays now and I am now enjoying more the trails. I always look forward riding this beautiful machine.
I'm an avid 72-year-old road and off-road cyclist who has been considering purchasing an electric mountain bike for several years. My wife and I recently purchased two Haibike Allmtn3 bikes from the local REI store. We ultimately cancelled the order for hers when it became clear that, contrary to the salesperson, the bike was much too large for her. We ended up substituting the Cannondale Moterra Neo 4 e-bike for her because it is very close to the size of her current full suspension bike. In combination, we ponied up more than $11,000 for the 2 bikes and I feel like it was more important to sell the bikes than to help us select the best alternative to suit our needs. I like the ride and the appearance of the bike and would have rated it a "5" but for the following. 1. The bike runs large. The sizing chart suggests the size "Small" should fit people 5'2" to 5'6 inches. I'm 5'7 with a 32" inseam and stand-over height is a little high despite what the size chart shows. If I were to ride in very difficult terrain, it might be an issue, but I now primarily ride less aggressive terrain than I did in years past. 2. The salesperson did not confirm that the bike fit me or tweak the fit. Granted, there are very limited options for fitting the bike other than adjusting the seat, but he could have done that. All he did was ask if this was my first e-bike, advise me not to charge the battery in cold or hot temperatures, show me how to remove the battery and load it into my truck. I wouldn't have minded basic instruction such as how to turn on the motor and how to access the various controller functions. Granted, I did not ask, but every shop I've purchased a bike from the past 50 years has taken the initiative to make sure the bike fit and talk a little about the bikes I've bought from them. 3. Documentation was pretty minimal. The user's manual was generic, not specific to the bike. There was no documentation as to the operation of the Bosch Purion controller. In fact, the manual provided was for a totally different controller. Luckily, its basic operation is pretty straight forward, but not intuitive at all as to how to display distance, total distance, remaining range etc. Good thing the internet provided a detailed instruction manual for it, but for $5,000 I would have expected something better. Other reviewers have made similar comments. 4. Lastly, I was unaware that the bike was a 2021 model. Not a big deal, but I was surprised that in November 2022, I was buying last year's model.
Someone looking for a high end EMTB shouldn’t discount this new arrival. Many components are emtb soecific, down to the bosch motor. 20-50 mike range seems low, but they offer a replacement battery, and the emtb mode is supposed to be quite efficient.
My friends and I bought this model and we could not be happier. Amazing reliable powerful motor by Bosch. Great geometry. Great German engineering. You can allays upgrade some of the components if you want but I like it the way it is delivered. It rides amazing. Don’t be concerned by the fact that this is not one of the more known brands. It’s an amazing bike.
Great bike! I was also very impressed with the level of service at my local REI store here in Santa Fe. I ordered the large based on the size recommendation; however, it just seems a tad too big for me. I'm 5'11." I think I could have gone with a medium but I will make do with the large.
I have been riding this brand for 4 years and they are amazing. Very reliable, balanced and well performing. Not the lightest bike but once you go electric the weight doesn’t matter. The riding is amazing.
