Lightweight Jacket Early Spring & Winter Months

For your reference, I'm 5'2", 123 pounds. I usually wear an extra small (0 or 2) or petite sizes in my tops, shirts, and jackets. I prefer a snug, slim, or tight fit. The jacket is perfect for the early spring & winter, and fall months. I've worn the jacket several times. If there is no wind chill and 30 degrees or above, I'm comfortable with a long sleeve t-shirt underneath.

Cheap quality, would not recommend

NOT The North Face quality expected. CHEAP weak zippers, overall construction. Pocket zip closures, elastic cuffs, missing inner pockets ... nothing like the original well made coat sold a couple years back. Made overseas, cheapo. Now good for travel or grocery store. Totally disappointing, despite the price.. The North Face is no longer the rugged quality go-to outdoor brand it once was. Bummer.

Beautiful and stylish with cozy warmth!!! Must buy!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love the quality and feel of this jacket. I had the sales associate order the white Gardena color. It's even prettier on and keeps me warm. Perfect for Spring Season which tends to be cold here in Philadelphia.

Good product, questionable quality control

I purchased this jacket over Black Friday 2024. It's very lightweight yet warm which is great - but a seam ripped less than a month of wearing it normally (meaning wearing as a winter jacket, not hiking / camping). TNF policy is that you can send it to fix via the warranty, but it will take 4-6 weeks. For a brand that promises high quality this was disappointing, and needing to adhere to the long repair process even for something purchased so recently was also annoying

It's ehhh....

Like other people have said... the quality is not the same. I have several North Face jackets and have another Thermoball jacket I purchase before. But this year's style looks cheap. The zippers are tiny! It looks like it was made for a makeup bag. It looks cheap! The logo is also heat transferred and not embroidered like before - I have a feeling it will peel off right away. I took other people's advice and sized up - since I wear 2-3 layers of clothing under my thermoball during winter... and I'm glad I did because this fits smaller / the sleeves are shorter than the previous stye. The fabric is also cheap looking - it truly looks like it's a "fake" northface jacket. Disappointing.

Zippers - low quality for outerwear in new versions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my older ThermoBall coats. I've owned several over the past 6 to 7 years. I hate the new zippers. They are cheap and don't work well w sweatshirts. The older versions had larger not so flimsy and small zippers that help up and did okay w other layers. For the cost I want something to last. These new ones don't last as long the zipper breaks. I still wear my one from 4 yrs ago even tho it's torn. But my last few haven't lasted a year bc of the zippers. They seem to be not for coats and just don't work right in the cold or w layers. Very disappointed in them. Onto a new coat brand to try.

My third one about to be purchased!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This will be my third one since 2012. It's just the right weight to wear winter daytimes in my area when working outside, layers up nice for windy days or if I have to stand around. Down is a pain, thermoball is easy washing. My only beef is I tear it when splitting wood, hauling live traps around, etc. But would it layer so well if heavier fabric was used? Nope.

Great jacket to gift

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gifted to my mom. She really likes that it's light and warm. She farms out in the country, so she don't like wearing heavy gears or clothing. She told me she wears it everyday, no problem. Thank you Northface!
