I’ve been using these socks for a few weeks now and I really like them. They’re lightweight but still provide just enough cushioning for day hikes or long walks. The COOLMAX material actually does a great job keeping my feet dry, even when I’m sweating or caught in light rain. I also appreciate that they’re made with recycled materials, which makes me feel a little better about buying new gear. They fit well (true to size) and don’t slide down or bunch up in my shoes. I’ve worn them on the trail and around town, and they’ve held up great. Super breathable and comfortable, would definitely recommend and will probably grab another pair soon.
I usually use longer merino wool socks to hike in with my boots, but wanted something with more of a sport material because I was gonna be in warmer weather. These felt great on my feet and were very comfortable and conformed to my feet vs wool which doesn’t hold shape very well. Did a 10 mile day hike in them with no rubbing or blisters! Will purchase more pairs.
I've only worn these socks 2 times, but I am headed back to REI to buy 2 more pair. They are the most comfortable socks I have ever warn (other than the fuzzy socks I wear around the house). My feet are usually hot in any kind of sport or hiking sock but these seem to breath better than others I have had.
These socks are the best I’ve found that help my neuroma on the ball of my foot (meaning the ball of my foot is no longer there). I have cortisone shots every 6 months for pain. The padding in these socks right on the ball of the foot is just perfect for me, and makes my foot more comfortable. I highly recommend these.
I am allergic to wool, so finding good hiking socks has always been a challenge. I've previously used Wrightsock's coolmax socks, but they have zero cushioning. This version from REI has the perfect amount of light to moderate cushioning in the toe and heel without getting bulky elsewhere. I'm a 9.5 to 10 women's regular shoe size and the medium fits just fine.
I love these socks. The most comfortable sock I have ever owned. My feet don't sweat, get to hot and keep my feet warm when its cold..
I love these socks and they are the only ones I now use for hiking. They are thin, yet cushioned - perfect for someone with wide feet who doesn't want any extra bulk inside my boot. I also like the way they are snug around my arch - again, no extra material. I have at least 8 pairs now and plan to buy more.
They were good at first, felt like quality socks. After a few washings (following directionsl they became almost rough. I spent a fair amount on these, now I can't really use them except around the house because they make my feet raw (tried in 4 different pairs of shoes.) I wouldn't buy again.
Socks are comfortable. Wore them on a few 4-5 miles hikes. The weather was usually around 70 - 80°F and the socks kept my feet cool. They also do dry quickly. I haven't noticed any shrinking of the material after washing and drying.
These socks are well constructed, thick and comfortable. I wore them on a five mile hike they were perfect with hiking boots that are sized 1/2 size larger than my regular shoes.
