Wow! I didn't expect to like these socks as much as I do. They are a nice medium thickness. They feel well-made, and are just stretchy enough to be comfortable, but tight enough to keep their shape. I'm going to order more colors.
Excellent socks. Thin enough to wear with any loafer or sneaker. But thick enough to to get your feet warm in boots out on the trail. The wool is soft and comfortable. And the stitching makes them super durable in high wear areas on your foot (heel/toes etc.) Highly recommend.
While these socks are comfortable and have good cushion around the foot, and they look good, the pair I purchased showed signs of wear after only 1 use (a 4-mile walk/hike). The sock rubbed against the inside front of my shoe and is nearly torn through. I will stick with Darn Tough and Smatwool, those socks wear hood and long,
This item takes unnecessary exaggerated compression aspect to a new level (in a very bad way). Socks run small and are extremely tight fit. Compression aspect is not a benefit when taken to this extent. Unwearable.
They are a comfortable and warm wool sock but not good for hiking. I wrote them on a short 7 mile hike and the sock rubbing against the back of the shoe pills up and creates hard balls of wool that have me a blister. Only sock that has done this, smartwool socks have not given me any issues.
I bought these socks for field work with the Forest Service and these were one of my favorite pairs of socks. They’re breathable, thin but comfortable, and have a nice pattern. I didn’t feel the need to take them off immediately as soon as I got home from work.
great socks. i got two pairs from the clearance bin over the summer in a color they don't sell anymore - i didn't think i'd like them because i'm a bit of a brand loyalist to smartwool. however, once i started wearing them i could not stop!!! they're incredibly comfortable (i have sensory issues so i hate most socks) and go great with pretty much everything. i'll be buying three more pairs for sure!!
These Trailsmith socks fit snugly and are comfortable and fairly soft. They are a nice thickness with medium padding (not like a thick bootsock and not like a thin Coolmax sock). The pattern is OK although surely some people would love the design while some others would disdain it-- to each his own. I would buy again if offered at a low price.
These are the perfect Winter boot socks. Wether walking in snow, on freezing streets or in the mud, these socks keep my toes warm and stay up on my calves. Highly recommend!
Fit well, are warm and comfortable.
