A Minute to Break In
I have worn Teva’s before and based my purchase off reviews. Aesthetically this boot is appealing. My concern was the inward of my right foot and curvurture as far as fit. The boot is comfy from the get go. My right foot took some time to get adjusted to the padded insole, but overall once I walked around with the boots on it was good. I wear an 8.5 in women’s and the 8.5 fits like a glove. Maybe 9 if you want an extra wiggle room.
Great, cute boot
I'm a teacher so I'm on my feet all day. I was wary of some of the reviews stating that this wasn't a comfortable boot but I ordered anyway. I'm glad I did. With boot socks, these things are very comfy and very warm. I didn't have any issues with flexibility with the thicker sole, either. I'm not sure if they'd be good for festivals as advertised but wearing them to work and to run errands, they're great. Sizing was average, too.
Hurt My Feet Horribly
These boots wound up being such a major disappointment. They are super cute and initially I thought they fit well. After initially receiving them I immediately purchased another pair in the other color. But then I wound up wearing them for an afternoon (no more than 4 hours at a shopping center) and they caused my feet pain like I've never felt before. Firstly the sole is stiff, it doesn't flex or give at all. Then the inside is constructed so that your feet feel like they are tilted as if you're wearing heels. This incline wound up shoving my second toe into the toe box with every step. It literally created a painfully numb toe and then sent shooting electric pains from my toe and throughout my foot. Also, caused extreme pain on my pinky toe - because toe box wasn't roomy enough. It took over 24 hours for the extreme pain / numbness in my toes to go away.
Just don't
So cute....so uncomfortable!! Wish I'd done a deeper dive on the reviews before ordering. Even $45 on sale is too much. Toe box is WAY too narrow. Heels rub badly. Boot material is thin, stiff, and entirely uninsulated. I'm so annoyed that I have to pay to return these. I'll think a lot harder before ordering from REI in the future.
Cute, but not comfy
These will definitely take some breaking in. They are pretty stiff. I usually wear an 8, but sized up to an 8.5, which fit perfectly length-wise. The shoes are too narrow and were bothering me when I took them for a test drive in my home. Didn't want to take the time to find out if breaking them in would change anything.
My doctor call me fashionista, ha ha!
I love these shoes. Bought olive one (size 6) last year, paid member price. The pink strings were too much for me, so I replaced with black strings. When I wore them with llbean olive cargo pants, often got complements. Few weeks ago, I saw them for clearance price so I got black one for $45!!! I told my friends who loved my shoes about the sale. They are going to get them. As many reviewers mentioned, these shoes are definitely not hiking shoes in my view. To me, one hour trail is not a problem. These shoes are more like stylish and comfortable ( replacing sneakers) street shoes I would say…
Teva boots
Love these shoes. Make sure if you have a job where you are on your feet all day to get a size bigger
love these boots
Great boots! I’ve had them a year and I don’t think I’ve had such comfortable boots. I fluctuate between 7-7.5 I ordered the 7.5 normal width and wear them almost everyday outside of summer. Recently had foot surgery and have to wear a special sandal like shoe on right foot I wear this boot on other foot. They’re also very cute. I wear with jeans but would look cute with dress too
Don’t even think about hiking in these
I was initially drawn to their striking aesthetic appeal, a testament to Teva’s reputation for style. My expectations were set high, anticipating a blend of fashion and functionality suitable for hiking adventures. However, my extended two-week effort to acclimate to these boots through daily wear and short hikes yielded a resounding verdict: they are unequivocally ill-suited for genuine hiking endeavors. These boots prove inadequate on authentic, unpaved trails, let alone for brief, two-mile excursions. They appear to cater more to influencers seeking a facade of outdoor activity than to those genuinely seeking a reliable hiking companion. Caution should be exercised when contemplating extended treks over uneven terrain, as such undertakings may lead to inevitable regrets. In a specific case, during a two-hour hiking expedition encompassing a considerable elevation decline in the initial hour and relatively level terrain thereafter, my experience took a turn for the worse. Notably, my heels succumbed to severe blistering, an unexpected and unwelcome consequence. Additionally, wear and tear became evident in the region where the boot contacts the lower calf. To emphasize the extent of my disappointment, I resorted to returning in my Astral Loyaks, a decision borne not only out of comfort but also the ability to withstand the rigors of the trail.
not built to last
I bought these boots for walking around campus, nothing too strenuous at all. After six months I will be returning them, they were uncomfortable when I first bought them but I chalked it up to needing to be broken in. After six months I think it’s not a breaking in issue and the shoes are actually getting worse. The lining in the heel has worn out entirely and is giving me blisters.
