Color purchased - Moonscape/Black/Ashes Of Roses. My husband and I like to camp and hike. I am a plus size hiker with size 8 WW feet. I also have type II diabetes, achilles tendonitis (from heel spurs) and arthritis behind my knees. I have spent a lot of time researching, and buying, different trail runners to find that perfect pair. I wanted comfortable trail runners that have a great grip, easy to lace and have a good drop for my knees and heels. I find Hoka comfortable to wear but was consistently get a blister on outside of my big toe and outer edge of the ball of my foot when hiking in them (even after changing sizes, socks etc). I love my Salomon Women's X Ultra 3 Mid GTX hiking boots (in size 8 Wide) in winter so thought I would try these Salomon Speedcross 6 trail runners. WOW!!! I’m SO, SO glad I made the change!!!! These are so perfect for me that I’m contemplating the purchase of a second pair in case they get discontinued or changed. Wore them to Pine Grove Furnace State Park, PA this past week. Right out of the box! Brought to wear on the trails but they were so comfortable that I wore them around camp too. Hated taking them off. The color is AWESOME and looks great with so much of my stuff! The lock laces are easy to use. There is a finger loop/grab on the tongue to hold when pulling on so that the tongue doesn’t fall into the shoe. There is not a heel loop/grab (which would be a nice addition but not enough to not buy these). By your regular size and get outside, your feet will love them!

Was such an amazing shoe—fit comfortable as a sock with the grip of a hiking shoe. Loved my first pair and wore it everywhere. The last pair was not as comfortable out of the box (I got an insert, which helped but didn’t totally resolve discomfort) and wore out absurdly quickly. A friend who recommended them to me had the same experience with her latest pair.
Used to be great. Maybe they’re saving money on manufacturing now, but it’s not the same shoe. Not recommended.

Comfortable and light weight-good grip. Terrible lace design . Despite tucking strap under it came undone within 5 steps and I landed face first on sidewalk:(. Will be returning

Looks good, feels comfortable, and well made. Shoe reactions are thick and aggressive. The top surface is thin; looks comfortable, but it may be a disadvantage; it tears easily.

I used to be in love with this model until I got my order delivered and oh my goodness! The writing on top made it awful, ugly and ughhhhh 😶 So disappointed! If you want to be creative and add something make sure the pictures showing in site match the real one! With some RED details ! Now i have to return my order because you didnt mention about writing on shoes in any picture!!!!!!

I love this shoe!! I live in the Black Hills of South Dakota on 60 acres, I step outside and hike all the hills around my home. I took two pairs of earlier versions of the Speedcross to Mont Blanc and had a wonderful time hiking in those shoes. This year, I am heading to the Dolomites and will, again, bring two pairs of the Speedcross!! Stability, grip, and support are outstanding!!

Upgraded from a previous pair. Worried they wouldn't be as comfortable and worried about whether they would be worth the extra price tag. I was so worried about the comfort I took my old pair out with me in a ruc sack. Totally worth it! Felt like slippers with grip and completed 14k with my old shoes never seeing the light of day.

Holes formed after fours months use and got a lot bigger around eight months. Shoelaces broke after ten months use. After asking Salomon for a refund, they denied me. This is my second pair that has fallen apart in less than a year. I will never buy from them again.

These are my 3rd pair. I love the lugs on the sole, the fit and laces. I will continue to buy these as my daily drivers and running & biking. My old ones are now for working outside. Highly recommend!

Great alternative to a heavy hiking boot

I love these trail runners. I hike in Merrils, but bought these for easy trail hikes with my husband that don’t require a heavier sole. They have been absolutely perfect.

Comfortable Shoe w/ Dangerous Trip Wire Laces

This is a very stylish and comfortable trail runner. Why then did I give it 1 star you might ask? Because the lacing system is hazardous. I have tripped multiple times because the laces are ridiculously long and even if you tuck them well into the provided tongue pocket, in they wiggle their way out. This happen to me on a treadmill, tripping me and causing me to fall on my face b/c I was completely not expecting it. I was shot behind the machine, no joke! Thankfully I just suffered scrapes and bruises, but easily this could have been a much more consequential fall. I caution against buying these shoes.
