Bizarre style and fit

Tried these on as an alternative to Janji’s Transit Tech pants (which I love, but have limited colors.) The fit on this is extremely uncomfortable. Like others have mentioned, the waist is too high, the crotch is too low, and weirdly enough the butt is too tight. Maybe someone tall and thin with no leg muscles will like the fit. Also, the faux fly is bizarre - it serves no purpose other than to make it look like your fly is undone. Never seen that before. Can’t comment on durability because I returned immediately. Material is stretchy and a bit rough. If you are short and/or have strong butt and thighs these won’t fit well.

No complaints

I recently invested in a pair of Cotopaxi Men’s Subo Pants, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. These pants are amazing when it comes to cold weather adventures. The first thing I noticed was the incredible warmth they provide, especially when paired with a base layer. These pants have a ton of versatility. Not only are they great for cold weather activities, but they’re also incredibly durable and lightweight, making them perfect for year-round wear. Whether I’m hitting the trails or running errands around town, these pants can handle anything I throw at them.

I love these pants!

I bought these pants, and they immediately became my favorite pair. I get a lot of compliments on them. They're stretchy yet durable, and they look nice yet also are perfect for any outdoor activity. I've worn them regularly for a few weeks with no problems. I haven't had the chance to wear them climbing or hiking yet, and I'm not sure what washing them will do, but I'm not worried because the quality seems so great. If those cause any issues, I'll come back to update this review. For the men's pants the waist is a bit high, so some guys wear the womens version because they're essentially the same pant, but I prefer the slim fit of the men's style. Size small fits me like 29-31 pants.

Comfortable, stretchable, and affordable

These pants are the best pair of hiking/outdoor pants I’ve ever owned. They are super comfortable. They stretch and give in all the right places. My first weekend breaking them in was camping at and hiking Mount Borah, to tallest peak in Idaho. 4 miles and 5600 feet of elevation gain. These pants got me through that grueling hike… well, these pants and my two motivated buddies!

Nice pants but...

Just got these and while I like the material and the cut, I might need to return. At 5'10" and waist 34, size L is perfect around my legs but the waist is a little large. Problem is because there is no belt and only string to tie up around the belly the fit is a bit loose for activities such as hiking. Also, putting anything in front pockets is a no-no because of that. I wish they at least included loops for the belt if I wanted to use.my own. I think it might be too loose, and I guess size M could be too tight for my legs.

Subo-par pockets

I would like to start by saying the pants have a ton of positive aspects like the material, colors, range of motion. That third aspect also exacerbates the biggest flaw, in my opinion, the lack of more secure storage. The omission of a second rear pocket, a thigh pocket, and the very least zippers on the front pockets do decrease the usability and value. My sunglasses fell out of my pocket unnoticed the first time I wore them. The slick material also contributes to the ease of items falling out of the front pockets. Please consider more secure pockets on a future design. Thank you Logan

Good but not perfect

Pros Cotopaxi Subo Pants is with great recycle flexible fabric with UPF 50+. They are looking great, very light and can pack easy. Cons, The pants are tighten only with rope and i had the feeling they are slipping off all the time during the hike. Also the two front pockets are not secured and not suitable to carry phone.

Great Pants

own three pairs of Subo pants, and they’re absolutely fantastic! The large size fits me perfectly (I’m 6’2" and 222 lbs) with plenty of room and flexibility. The fabric is incredibly soft, forgiving, and comfortable—perfect for all-day wear. What really sets these pants apart is their versatility. They look sharp enough for work and seamlessly transition to a night out without missing a beat. Whether you're dressing up or keeping it casual, these pants have you covered. If you’re on the fence, don’t hesitate—these are a solid choice. You really can’t go wrong with them!

Oddly tight around the thighs...

I'm 5'4" 135 and do not have large thighs at all. The small was very tight around my thighs and butt. Very strange. Even stranger, the medium is the same length as the small! So I bought the medium and it's long and slouchy and loose and airy and stretchy and I love it!

Loved the lightweight and look, but waist was considerably too big.
