Some fun between my legs

While expensive, this bike is beast! When riding in town it's like riding on a cloud. When on the trails, it's powerful and agile. This bike is good for beginners to eMtn biking, like myself. I've gone on over a dozen rides now and logged over a hundred miles, this machine is sweeeeet! The battery charges fast and the assist is WOW -- so cool! Buy it!

FROM FIVE TO ONE STAR

I had this e-bike for about a year, and my experience started off great. The bike handled well and felt solid on the trails. However, over time, things began breaking down. The first issue was a loud noise when descending, which turned out to be a loose brake rotor. REI replaced it, and the problem was resolved. A few rides later, the front fork shock stopped working and had to be replaced. Then, the dropper seat post failed and was also replaced. Not long after, the chainring became loose—tightening it helped temporarily, but the issue returned. Eventually, the bike's suspension started making loud creaking noises when riding downhill. What started as a five-star experience quickly dropped to two stars. This bike required constant maintenance, despite my gentle riding style. For a bike costing over $5,000, I expected much better durability. Thankfully, REI’s return policy allowed me to return it. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Very heavy

The bike is okay so far. The Bosh battery and motor operate nicely. I gave it a three-star review because it is very, very heavy. It weighs 62 pounds without a kickstand, lights or any accessories. I though the carbon frame would make it lighter.

Love this emtb

I’ve had this bike for over 8mos and have put over 500 miles of climbs and aggressive downhill on it. It handles the chunk like butter, has tons of power for the ride back to the top, and has the most comfortable seat from the factory of any bike I’ve owned. My experience has been very positive. I typically ride 10-12 miles at a time and have 65% or more of the battery remaining at the end. The Bosch motor charges quickly and has been reliable. I love how the assist works when you’re restarting the climb on a steep hill. The stock tires have been really great. Excellent grip in tight switchbacks and have held up really well. When I wear them out, I’ll likely replace with the same tires. The suspension works great! The coil rear shock is quick and keeps the rear tire on the ground through even the rockiest descents. The Zeb fork is great as well, leading to a very stable ride on aggressive descents and large drops. The only maintenance I’ve had to do since buying the bike has been to replace the rear brake pads, retighten a few things that have loosened over time and adjust the rear derailleur a couple of times (typical maintenance). The bike has been very maintenance free for me. My biggest gripe would be the weight. It’s a little on the heavy side, but so are nearly all non-SL full power emtbs. The silver lining to the weight is that the bike is incredibly stable on rocky chunky descents at high speed. On tarmac downhill the bike is super smooth too. Was on a trail where you had to jump onto a road downhill for a couple of miles to get to the next trail entrance and the bike was crazy smooth at nearly 40mph. Great bike, really happy with Cannondale and the long travel of this bike.
