Chest: Around the chest, just under the arms and across the shoulder blades.
Sleeve: From the center back of the neck, across the shoulder, and down the arm to the wrist.
Waist: Around the narrowest part of the waist.
Hip: Around the widest point of the hips.
Inseam: From the crotch to the anklebone on the inside of the leg.

Ordered these from REI Outlet discounted. Extremely neat wash and a great slightly skinny fit with just enough room in them to help comfort some. Purchased the 34x32 and seem pretty true to size (just a touch roomy). For reference, I am 6'0" and about 198 pounds. I've spent double to triple this on lots of jeans that are nothing better to be honest.
Great materials, but super baggy
I feel torn about these pants, because the materials are truly great. The denim is extremely stretchy, and exactly the right weight for daily wear and climbing. But these pants are - at least by my standards - extremely baggy. If you have skinny legs, you'll be swimming in these things. I could see them working well for people with big legs.

Great quality, well cut, not too tight in the legs, but not baggy, either.
