We got weBoosted & it was awesome!
The weBoost Drive took the two of us about an hour to install after reviewing install instructions and some videos specifically geared toward installing on our Winnebago Revel van. Right away we were impressed with the quality and ease of use. We have Verizon Wireless but had a friend who uses AT&T come along on one of our test runs. We got boosted at least 2 bars on both phone providers. Having been told it only works if you have at least one bar, we were pleasantly surprised to get one weak bar where we had zero coverage and were able to send/receive a text message! We highly recommend the weBoost to give added peace of mind when you find yourself in areas of weak cell coverage!
It works as advertised; pay attention to your i
This is my second drive reach product. The first product was on an earlier motorhome that i owned and had for six years. This Drivereacg RV product is improved over the other model. The inside antenna is better and has more range plus it is movable. The biggest mistake i see others making is not having a full realization of how ot works. You must have a signal to amplify. If there is zero signal, you wont get a good result. I installed the outside antenna on a telescoping tube attached to the ladder at the back of my motorhome. That way i keep the antenna below maximum allowed height restrictions but can extend it when parked if needed. I rarely have needed to extend it. I ran the antenna cable along the roof and through a vent near an upper cabinet which had access to power. This was about a third of the length of the RV from the front. The kit includes tiedowns that securely hold the cable. You do not have to drill holes in your roof or side of your camper if using this method. You might have to drill a hole in the fan housing of your vent however. My results typically have been around a 20% to 25% increase in signal strength inside the motorhome. This roughly equates to gaining about 1 bar greater signal strength. You can measure the gain in db by looking at the signal strength on your cellphone both outside the rv, inside the rv without the amplifier on, and then inside the rv with the amplifier on and standing next to the inside antenna. We periodically travel the country and like to stay in State Parks, Corps of Engineers campgrounds, etc. There are some remote areas with weak signals that make streaming our tv difficult even with the booster. However, this is rare and most of the time it works very well. I am very satisfied and recommend the Wilson Drivereach RV. I found their staff quite helpful when purchasing.

Good but not a Game Changer
We have are driving our Sprinter Van cross country and have been testing the weBoost for a couple months. Packaging and Install - Packaging and contents are top notch in organizing, branding, and delivery. Installation instructions were comprehensive with nice touches of including zip ties and lock tight for screw threads to protect against vibration. Use and Performance - I consistently noticed an increase from 1 bar to 2 bars, when turning on the wee boost, sometimes from barely a bar to 2 bars or with Verizon from LTE to 5G, my partner seeing similar results on ATT Modifications - 1) 12v - It came with a 120v outlet plug but the unit only needs 12v. I did not want to run it off our van's inverter so I called weBoost, they said I could plug it into 12v power directly but they were out of the plug to do so. They recommended another vendor, and its a very typical 12v cigaret lighter plug. I then added a switch to the power line so it could easily be turned on and off. 2) Mounting - it comes with a way to mount it to an exterior ladder, higher the better. I do not have an exterior ladder so I mounted it on the roof rack using a RAM track ball. They said to run the line to the antenna through a door jam - I found a vent hole in the bottom of the van and ran it up to the roof along the back door as cleanly as possible. Pros - Works on every wireless carrier tested - no apps, no fees, no subscriptions, nothing other than plugging it in - Solid construction and solid heat sync to minimize unit from overheating - Packaging, instructions, and product support were great - Consistently saw a minor increase in network coverage, improving speed. eg. websites and apps will then load where they may have previously timed out. Cons - - Had to solve mounting and 12v solution and add a switch to turn it on - Have to be within 3ft of the wired interior antenna to receive boost (we move it around the van as needed) - Does not consistently make the difference between being able to video conference or not. - The antenna on the roof needs to be pointed up. I leave it down (horizontal) for a lower profile and clearance most of the time. To receive the boost, I need to go out and point it up first which then adds two feet to my clearance hight
Buyer Beware. I've bought 3, none work.
Buyer beware. I have owned three WeBoost units in the last three years. All three failed. I was able to return two of them within the warranty window but am stuck with one $600 paperweight. I have had two fail out of the box and had one last less than a year of use. Their warranty is 2 years. If you are only in rural areas a few times a year, they are relying on you not using it and it dying just beyond the warranty window without you noticing. I live full time on the road. I have been across the country 5 times with a WeBoost and at no point did it ever function as intended. At one point, I was carrying two in the car and neither worked. I can say with great confidence, save your money and headaches from Wilson Electronics. You won’t get substantially further in nature with the WeBoost than you would without it. As I said, I’ve been on the road three years and for all the money I’ve spent on WeBoost, I’d have been better to save the money for gas to get back to areas with solid service. There are better alternatives. Don’t waste your money. If you insist you need this technology, I can tell you as a full-time nomad with years of experience, that you are wasting your money on this product.
I read the instructions and installed the equipment as directed. Works as advertised. We consistently get 2 to 3 bar increase.

My Kids Are OBSESSED
We have had the chance to test this product on several trips now and my children are completely enamored. We typically allow unlimited screen time when we are on a long car or plane trip, but this is usually curtailed by long stretches of state park, national park, or just nothing. My son and the members of his hockey team that we carted down the Parks highway were able to play and stream all the way. As for parents, it definitely provides an added measure of safety to know that I can reach out if we are stuck at any point along the way. It provided a great boost for us. It will not make signal out of nothing, but it will help you bridge low signal areas. Definitely a win for us.
A great way to stay connected
This is a great product to enhance our camping experience. While being in nature and removing ourselves from constant connectivity is a sought after experience, sometimes we do need to connect to the world. This device is that answer. Turn it on when you need to connect and the bars on your phone immediately go up, it's that simple. You have to be creative in the set-up, especially if you do not have a ladder on your camper, but once you've got it where you want it, you're good to go. This is a great product, incredibly well built, and I can't recommend it enough.
How to Boost your RV internet!
Check this video out: https://youtu.be/DWVbail4agE Contrary to popular belief, no, we are not independently wealthy! Andi was working remotely for several years before she convinced me to go on this CRAZY (actually awesome) adventure! One question we get a lot is how do we stay connected on the road. This week we share how to make the most of the free campground wifi, what devices we use to connect to the internet and most importantly how we boost our internet to stay connected even when we're remote. We have had our We Boost for over a year and it has not let us down!!! #Weboost #RVLife #RVInternet Check this video out: https://youtu.be/DWVbail4agE
Exceeded Expectations
I was camping on Baker Lake about 25 miles north of cell service in a National Forest and had zero bars of service (Verizon). I was skeptical because the instructions said the cell phone needs at least one bar for the booster to work. I hooked up the outside antenna and ran the wire through the screen door to the booster inside. From there I had the inside antenna on the dinette and plugged the booster into a 75w portable inverter and used a 12 volt outlet. Almost instantly I had one bar and was able to talk and text. Not sure if I'll permanently install it now and may just keep it handy if needed for those rare occasions.
Great product that allows me to work remotel
We bought a Weboost Drive and an extra RV Antenna and mode the amplifier between our tow vehicle and our travel trailer. While driving, it allows me to do conference calls with less fear of losing the connection. Over the last two months we drove from VA to KS to MI, using it in the car and in fairly remote state parks and other campgrounds with good success. We use Visible for the unlimited data and can stream Netflix and Apple TV pretty reliably. I would recommend this unit. The one think I don't like is the phone needs to be sitting right on the inside antenna to work properly. It am going to see if we can buy a more powerful inside antenna for our RV so we can use it anywhere we are sitting.
