Features

  • KinetiCore features fully Integrated Rotational Impact Protection technology that's built right into the helmet instead of added on after
  • KinetiCore Controlled Crumple Zones absorb the force of both direct and rotational impacts in the event of a crash to redirect energy into the helmet and away from your head
  • Keep cool with Lazer Venturi ventilation channels, which draw the breeze in and expel hot air out through the rear of the helmet to help keep you from overheating
  • Easy-to-use ScrollSys belt adjusts for a quick and secure fit with minimal fiddling
  • Silicone docking system keeps your eyewear secure and out of your line of vision when not in use
  • The floating front headband increases airflow and eliminates pressure points, so you can focus more on your ride and less on adjusting your gear
  • For increased aerodynamic performance and protection from the elements, this helmet can be upgraded with the Lazer Aeroshell (not included)
  • LED light compatibility at the rear of the helmet ensures maximum visibility for those rides that start or end in the dark (LED lights not included)
  • Built 6% lighter than the Lazer Blade+ Mips helmet and with 20 g less plastic for a reduced carbon footprint design

Good, could have been great

Decent entry level offering from Lazer even though it pains me to call a helmet that costs $100 entry level. Lighter than many, it steps away from the mips crowd and has its own take on rotational injury protection. I think the slots in the foam they use may even help a little with ventilation. Which needs a little help on those really hot days. No adjustment dial on it but has a little treadmill you push or pull to get a proper fit. For the price it wouldn't have killed them to include an extra set of pads that you know you're going to need because they are on the flimsy side. There's an opening in the back for a dedicated LED light that's an extra forty bucks and no one except Lazer sells it. I wear a large but would have bought an XL if available since Lazer makes it. I had to go to Backcountry because REI has decided not to put these helmets on the shelf so you order it blind and hope it fits or you send it back. All in all a good helmet but could have been great with a little more effort.

Great if you have a circular, not oval, head

I've used the helmet a number of times in the past year. It has great ventilation and features, but the fit is for a circular shaped head. I am currently looking for a new helmet because I've realized I have an oval shaped head and this helmet keeps pinching my forehead and causing tension and headaches. After viewing more information about the helmet it does describe the fit this way.

My favorite all-purpose helmet

I'm an avid but not hardcore cyclist. I like decent gear but I'm not going to spend $250 on a helmet. I like the treadmill-style belt that snugs it up, rather than a dial. I also like that I can get a blinky light for the back of it, although I haven't yet... I mostly ride on gravel roads and rail-trails. And I like the neon-yellow color on the back of the one I ordered. I'm all about visibility when I'm riding. My only slight quibble with this helmet is that the straps seem to get all uneven and wonky. I am not adept at evening them up from side to side; it seems like one strap is always awkwardly cutting across one ear until I've fiddle with it for a few minutes.

great ventilation and weight, fit weird

This is a great helmet for the money. Very light and good ventilation. There is a small slider inside the helmet to adjust how it fits on your head slightly. The biggest drawback is a hotspot I get right in the center of my forehead. This helmet sits a little higher than others I’ve tried which is fine but weird. Overall a good helmet for the price

Runs small

I ordered this helmet online without trying it, and it was a mistake. I've always worn size M helmets comfortably -- for my 57.5 cm head -- with room to spare for a cap or a beanie. Not this time with this Lazer helmet. Way too tight. I put it 2 stars because the design is nice but I'm returning it.

Pretty Comfy

I've had a number of different helmets, this isn't the lightest or most ventilated, but this one isn't too heavy, but it was hard to beat the price. For this price-point, it's nice enough, light enough, airy enough. If you're looking for best in class weight, you'll need to pay more. Be realistic for this price, it'll meet your expectations.

Decent helmet that fits snug

For me the fit is perfect, I have an “egg head” per my gf and the shape of the helmet on my head is not awkward like most helmets, at least that’s what I think. I have done a few climbs in it and I neither ran hot nor did it irritate me at any point. It’s a helmet, it fits, when i put it on I forget I have it on, so for me 10/10.

Safety first

Neither my wife or I previously wore a helmet. my wife does ride quite regularly and often by herself. Earlier this summer I noticed a new red lazer helmet in the garage with the bike stuff. Not gonna lie it looked pretty good. Since it was not mine it had to be my wifes although she never mentioned getting it. Since she usually rides by herself it was easy to envision her wearing it on rides. When i finally asked her about it she said she got it after she hit 30 mph on a solo ride, but never wore it whwn we rode together since we never went over 10 mph. Yesterday as i was going out by myself my wife told me to be careful and suggested i wear a helmet. I laughed and said i did not have one, and she suggested wearing hers. Not wanting to cause a fuss i agreed. The helmet fit my normal male head and with some minor strap adjustments i was able to get a great fit. I snugged up the chin strap and set off. During the ride It actually was very very light and comfortable very well vented and did not feel hot. It felt safe and i am sure i was riding harder than usual. When i was done my wife asked what I thought. I told her i liked it and was considering my own.
