Belt lengths all over the place, not even close.
I took a gamble based on all the other reviews - which were spot-on. The label that comes with the belt says it is 43", the belt is actually 40.5", and website shows 41.7". All three could be right? At first, I ordered the medium last week. It showed up and wrapped about 1.5 times around my waist - holy cow, the thing was long. I looked at measurements for the small belt, measured my waist, returned the medium, and ordered the small. When it arrived, the small belt was more than an inch shorter than the website's advertised length and it was 2.5" shorter than the actual label on the belt. The lengths and sizes are all inconsistent, it really is a gamble finding one that is the exact measurement. If it's the exact measurement on the website, that's great...but it's not. If it's the exact measurement on the label, that's great...but it's not. If it was the exact measurement, I would have been happy with this. Unfortunately, I'm returning this one as well because of the inconsistent sizing. Alas.

Too big for my britches...
I was recently traveling for work and found myself committed to a casual dinner. I had only packed scrubs so I needed proper pants (shorts if we're being honest) and a belt. Grabbed this Arc'teryx belt from the local co-op in Medium as I have a 33" waist. This belt is probably a good 10" too long. I can't get a handle on the loose end of the belt. It worked for that evening but I will be returning it for a Small size as soon as it's convenient. Aside from that, I like it a lot. It's stiffer than some web belts, which I like. Makes holding certain items on your waist a little easier. Looking forward to enjoying it more once I exchange it.
Needs a redesign
I own many nice belts, thought I would add this one to my collection. My complaints are that the actual nylon belt is very stiff, it might loosen up after a break in period. Next is the plastic end of the belt barely fits through the buckle and has to be forced in. This belt is also inconvenient to adjust and take on/off due to the stiffness of the belt. The little bird logo on the buckle is just a print on there, in the future I could see it ware or scratch off. I would not buy again.
Conveyor Belt 38 Weird Sizes
Bought a small after seeing reviews that you should buy a size down (I'm a 34W for pant size) but only had the plastic tab as excess and wasn't sure that was going to be a long term solution. Exchanged for a medium and that was WAYYYYY more excess than I would prefer. I measured each from buckle to tail and small was about 41" while a medium was around 49" (photo included). Label that came with the belt reads 43" and 45.5" respectively. Seems like great quality belt but just a heads up on sizes. I've been wearing a similar belt from another company for 5 years and this seems like much higher quality construction.
The new belt is difficult to use
I have a few of these belts. I bought another one last month. Compared to my other belts, it is a little different in buckle shape and belt length. See the pictures. The green belt is the old one. The black one is the new one. They are both size small. However, the new belt is difficult to use. It needs extra 3 to 5 seconds to put it on and take it off. It seems the belt buckle should be a little bigger or the belt end/tip should be smaller.
item came without packaging... i purchased new one
I ordered 4 of these for my family for white elephant. I have just got these in the mail, and two of the belts looks like a store returned or opened prior and lost the packaging
Yep, it's a weird belt - in a good way
I'm a waist size 36 and needed to go with the Medium which works great. I hated the belt at first because it was so stiff and hard to cinch up like many have mentioned. After it breaks in it is awesome though and the only belt I wear. I just ordered the 32mm and it has the same issues but looking forward to getting it broken in. Be patient.
Nice looking belt, but...
Purchased this belt to replace a Bison Designs belt that I had previously purchased at REI. The Bison Design constantly needed to be tightened to keep my pants up. This Arc'teryx belt is the opposite, it's very difficult to get the belt tight enough. Additionally, the length is too long for my waist size even though I picked the recommended size range. I could not try the belt because is was packaged. I really want a good webbed material belt instead of leather, and both of these belts disappointed me. Will be returning the Arc'teryx and tossing the Bison Design.
Stiff, Difficult to Use, Can’t Recommend
This belt is very stiff, difficult to use, and hard to remove. The belt end is slightly too wide to fit easily into the buckle, adding to the difficulty. Cinching the belt up properly is nearly impossible as the buckle wants to loosen up before the belt end can be properly snugged down through the second opening. This is probably due to its stiffness and which might go away over time, although it’s doubtful as the belt isn’t made of natural materials. A rather disappointing purchase. This should a $10 belt, not a $60 one.
Practical, durable and comfortable everyday belt
This has been my go-to belt for years. He width is enough to fit most belt loops without sliding up and down all day like some other webbing belts. The ribbed construction gives it a great balance of stiffness and flex that gets better over time. The tab on the end of the belt makes threading through the buckle much easier than belts with just a cut and burned end. Now yes, this belt can slip just a little, but I have always found it slips into just the right spot without getting too loose. All the years I've worn this and my pants have never fallen off!
