I was a big fan of the previous version of this vest but couldn't get the old sizing to work for me. XS/SM was too small and S/M was too big, and I'm pretty average-sized at 34A. Osprey did away with mixed sizing and the super chafy side strap adjusters, and the M in this current version is a great fit. Also, the zippered pocket on the left side now holds my phone a little lower, so the pressure is off of my chest. Other than these excellent refinements, the rest of the vest is mostly the same. It has many useful pockets that have reasonable depths and flex. The pocket for the reservoir is separate from another large backpack compartment in front of it. The back sits much higher than most vests, so it feels cooler. I also really appreciate the "floaty" feel. I ran for a while in a Salomon vest, and yes, they do not bounce or chafe, but they accomplish that by having tons of contact with your body which in the end I didn't like. And I do like that the Osprey Dyna is snug enough to be secure, but the arm holes, collar area, and bottom of the vest sit away from the body. It could just be a personal sensory thing, but it feels much better. I highly recommend this hydration pack. Definitely a joy to wear.

Awful fit if you’re between sizes
Sydney
The fit is truly bizarre. I went into the store to try it on. I am 5’10” 155 lb and a 36 B. The medium was tiny- it didn’t cover my nipples though the straps did close. So I got a large but it’s huge. Cinched down fully it was big but I figured it would be fine if I loaded it up. It’s almost worse loaded- since it’s too loose at the front it rides up into my neck. The jump between medium and large is ginormous and there’s no side adjustments or anything so you’re just out of luck. If I could have tightened the side straps I think the large would have worked. Currently it feels like when you’re in the water with a life jacket bunched at your neck. Not ideal. Also there are no zipper or bungee pockets aside from the water pouch. I got it for a long distance run but was hoping to use it for mountain biking. I wouldn’t trust those pockets for anything important. I think I’m returning it or sewing in side adjustments. Idk. Don’t recommend if you’re in between sizes. Osprey- you need better fit models.

Best running vest out there!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best running vest out there! I LOVE the bladder system over the bottles that every other vest has (though this has pouches for bottles as well if needed). The pockets are perfect for snacks, gels, a phone, light jacket, and any other necessities. The fit is adjustable and the vest doesn't move on me at all. I'm 5'4" and 125 lbs with 36B bust and I wear a small. Some folks complained in the earlier models that they had chafing from the fabric. I've been wearing this for about six weeks and I've never had the problem. I do love how heavy duty the fabric is. I can run through Oak brush with zero concern about rips or tears. My other vest have been lighter weight and maybe a little bit cooler, but this one is way heavier duty. Another benefit to its heavy duty construction is that it holds its shape on your body and doesn't just flop around like a loose piece of fabric. So, while it might be a little bit warmer, it's a worthwhile trade-off. The one actual negative is that the bladder hose doesn't have a shut off, so it leaks when you aren't wearing it and it gets pinched (say, in your bag or vehicle).

Great Hydration Vest

I have a Dyna 15 that's great for long winter runs when I want to carry extra gear, but I wanted an option that was smaller and lighter when I don't need to carry as much. I wore the Dyna 6 in a 15-mile trail race last weekend and it was great. Very comfortable and I was able to carry everything I needed. The only negative is that it doesn't have a magnet (or anything really) to hold the bite valve in place like the Dyna 15. I tucked the bite valve through one of the straps on the opposite side of the vest and that worked well enough.

Awesome

I am very impressed but how useful, comfortable, and light this pack feels when I use it. I’ve used it for walks/hikes with my dogs, training runs outside and inside on treadmill, long runs on the treadmill and outside, and even riding my bike. This is a great multi use pack since it feels so light, carries quite a bit, and is so comfortable. I was looking for a pack that had a lot of capacity and this fits that need! I was able to keep running in the winter and shed some of my layers with this pack. One note is that even with quite a few things in the pack plus the water this felt a little big on me. For reference, I like a snug fit but even though I wear a 36C, the large feels like even cinching the cords I could use a medium. Best suggestion is to try it on and see what size you like the fit of. Great product!

Fits my larger frame

I usually wear a 2x and bought the large. It’s a little difficult to get on and off but once it’s on it fits great, and it’s getting easier (probably more of a flexibility issue than a size issue). I am surprised by the commenter below complaining that one size doesn’t cover her nipples. Is it supposed to? Mine doesn’t cover mine but I don’t see how that’s a problem. It does everything I’d hoped. Unfortunately my reservoir developed a tiny leak but I was able to fix it with some gear tape.

Best running vest

I absolutely love this vest! Bought this vest for my first half marathon and it holds so much water I had half left after the race. Comfortable and plenty of space for gels and all my other stuff. So happy with this vest!! I’ve even taken it hiking in Maui and it was perfect! Love it!

I unpacked it and tried

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I unpacked it and tried it on. I liked it, and that’s why I’m giving it a 4 stars for now. I love that the 500ml flasks can be use with it, so glad I bought 2 of them. I have not gone on a run with it, just because I’m nto sure if it’s small for me or not. Not sure if it needs to close more on my chest or if it’s meant to actually be closer to the outer side of my ribcage. And also not sure if just wearing a top underneath would be comfortable.

Dyna 1.5L Backpack women's. New design is not the best

I wanted to like the new women's trail running Dyna 1.5L as much as I liked my old Dyna pack. Unfortunately the new design is not very practical. Cons: The new material is very scratchy The medium size feels more like a large The bottles sit too high in the front pockets Nutrition placed in the front pockets is hard to reach The whistle needs to have a stretchy cord and be accessible The back reservoir slashes too much since it doesn't have the support of the old Dyna on the back The sides pockets are hard to reach too It feels heavier than the previous version Pros: Nice looking model Good front straps Large front pocket with zipper It seems sturdy Unfortunately there are more cons than pros, but I hope Osprey rethinks this design with something more practical. I own several Osprey packs and this one just doesn't step up to the plate when it comes to your awesome products.
