Not quite what I was hoping for
Girlfriend bought this for me for my birthday after I had been badgering her about it for some time. It seemed like the perfect tool kit, but unfortunately the sleeves that hold the bits inside of the tool roll holder can be flimsy which allows some of the bits to float much more freely than others. This was apparent when I first opened the holder after unboxing & bits were scattered everywhere. The two bits in particular that kept coming free were the 6mm hex bit & the T10 Torx bit. Now after less than a month of having it & only used it a few times, my T10 bit has gone missing. Mind you I’ve never actually used that bit so it should be securely held in place by the sleeve. The sleeve for the 6mm bit is so loose despite that being the largest bit that I have to keep the bit stored on the wrench’s bit holder because that’s more secure than the sleeve. I reached out to Pedro’s customer service about this & was ghosted by them. I included a video which shows the 6mm hex bit almost coming completely out of its sleeve after simply wrapping & unwrapping the roll in one sitting place. You can feel by hand a distinct difference in how secure each bit is held. To me that’s a design flaw & why I’m missing a bit less than a month into having this tool. I would include the video here but don’t want to upload to YT. Instead, I’m attaching photos of the before and after of the 6mm’s bit placement after I wrap/unwrap the roll sitting in the same spot. You’ll notice none of the other bits shifted during that time. That doesn’t mean they’re all 100% secure, but the 6mm should not be coming loose that easily & it’s pretty clear proof that that’s how my T10 was lost. If you want to risk almost $200 for that, then go for it, but I’d look elsewhere especially with the nonexistent customer service.
My first torque wrench
Having previously used the Park Tool TW-5.2, I was looking for a torque wrench that fit the mold. This Pedro's torque wrench checked those boxes for me! The hex and torx bits click in to the adapter and the adapter snaps securely into the driver body. This tool with its torque range will allow you to snug up those bolts you need appropriately torqued -- stem, seat post clamp, seat clamp, brake calipers, and levers.
