Perfectly fine, double the listed weight.
This is a totally fine fleece zip up. It does exactly what you'd expect from a mid-lay fleece. Comfy. Looks nice. Wicks moisture. No quality concerns. The fit is a bit roomy but I think that allows for it to be worn over other layers so that's ok. I'm 5'10" and 190lb and have the large. My biggest complaint is the weight. It's listed at 5.9 ounces but came in at 11.5 on my scale. 11.5 oz isn't bad for a fleece but it's definitely not what I was expecting when I ordered it. I guess I'll keep it b/c it's functional but it won't make it in my pack over other mid-layer options.
Perfectly fine, weighs twice what's advertised

Too delicate, or maybe just bad luck
I purchased this fleece and was initially happy with it. It fit well, was comfortable, and was quite warm considering how thin the material was. Within a week of having it I went on a jog and I felt it tug, snagged on a limb. I stopped, but it was too late it had ripped at the hip all the way up the seam to the armpit. I was surprised at how little force it took for this to happen.
2 years in, still loving it
Have had this jacket for 2 years and it's still in great condition! Nominal pilling. A testament to its quality. Perfect second layer for chilly Fall weather. Love it and highly recommend.
Weighing in...Best of the Best!
Ounce for ounce, the Microchill fleece is the best layering piece you can buy. Fits true to size. Super lightweight, yet dense, warm, wicks well. Hiking: Wear it alone when temps are high 40s+. Wear it under a lightweight soft shell (mine is a Prism) for performance into the high 20s. Indispensable gear that has obsoleted all the heavy stuff from NF. This is the only fleece I will buy from here on out.
What I needed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been a Mountain HW product user since 95 and I've been looking for a light jacket for everyday use and this fit the bill to the tee. I put Fits slightly small as I have broad upper body and sometimes get XXL just to accommodate for this. Other than this the jacket is great, the color is perfect and this is now my 5th MHW jacket I own. Recommend to anyone looking for an everyday lite jacket
Great Fleece
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great Fleece! I'm 6'0" ~170lbs and the med. is a good fit, not snug, but no extra material to bunch up. Just perfect for use with a layer underneath. Jacket length is longish, to the hips, which prevents the annoying 'updrafts'. The material is super soft and is on the lighter side of "medium weight". I liked it so much I picked up the 1/4 zip version as well.
Awesome Jacket - Wish Pullover Fit Same
Awesome, lightweight fleece for many functions. Warm for weight and breathes. I am 5'8", 168 and athletic build. Fit me perfectly in arms, CBL and mid section. It has enough room for a heavier shirt underneath if needed. I just wish the 1/4 zip fit the same (why the heck not??). The pullover has longer arms and fits tighter in shoulders and mid section.
Daily Wear.
I commute to work on bike 8 miles round trip. I use this as a mid layer on cold morning and even rock it solo on cool nights home. It's comfortable and regulates my body temperature perfectly. It is also surprisingly light weight and not cumbersome. I especially like the zipper pockets and string cord base. It makes securing keys and cell phone easy.
Excellent Fleece
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is an excellent zip-up fleece jacket with no frills needed. Construction and look are both great. I'm 5' 6" at 155 lbs and the medium has a slightly athletic fit, but not "tight". Being less than average height, the jacket length is spot-on, whereas some other jackets have been a little long. I recommend it...
