[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Disappointed, I love Northface products but this jacket literally came apart after only 1 month of normal wear. This jacket is plenty big on him and I was hoping for him to get 2 or more winters out of it. Living in Wisconsin, I didn't have the option of sending his jacket back and waiting for a replacement and had to stitch it up as best as I could myself. Sadly, his other jacket, also Northface, had a broken zipper. When I called your company I was told there was nothing that could be done for me since I did some sewing on it. I was hoping something more could have been done for me since there wasn't an option for me to send it back in the middle of winter.

This jacket is very plush and warm!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is not a jacket for everyday wear here in the South but when it is very cold this jacket is what you want. Even the hood and sleeves have the warm soft lining.

Good enough winter jacket but not high adventure

I bought this for my eleven year old for general winter use and backpacking. He finds it warm and comfortable and he especially likes the fuzzy lining. The downside is that it is a bit too bulky for packing and the hood detaches too easily. The hood utilizes plastic snap attachment points. They should have used high strength Velcro or a quality zipper instead. Overall it does its job as a general purpose winter jacket but I would purchase a different product for backpacking, skiing, or high adventure kids activities. If the hood becomes more of an issue, I'll have him ditch it and use a beanie instead. The hood can be used when sitting by the campfire.

Phenomenal coat, but runs a little small.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quality of the product is amazing and very durable for my 9 year old son. We live in a climate where temperatures can be at or near freezing for 7-8 months a year, so the extra layer of warmth this coat provides is phenomenal! The only complaint I have is that the sizes run a little small. I bought a larger size than my son normally wears hoping it would last a few seasons, but it looks like he will only be able to use it for one year. I would definitely buy again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a really warm, durable coat for an active child. Just make sure you order at least one size larger!

Good coat for a kid.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I love the coat and it looks super cute on my son, however there are a few things that could be improved. The hood comes off too easily, it should have been a zipper instead of the plastic snaps, so I'm always having to put the hood on my 5 year old son's coat almost every time he wears it, maybe older kids won't have the same issue. The other thing is sort of an accept the good with the bad, the fur often gets caught in the zipper and makes it hard to zip and unzip, but I do like that the fur lining helps keep him warm. Overall, it's pretty good, with a few minor issues.

Extreme lack of Quality

Unfortunately North Face quality has diminished significantly over the past 20 years. The sleeve on this jacket is completely falling off the jacket itself. Stitching is unraveling both front and back. Returning and will be steering clear of NF products from now on. BTW I have a NF shell from 1998 that I still use for skiing and extreme wx to this day. A little faded but every bit as usable as the day I bought it. Like so many outdoor brands that started strong and reliable things have gone downhill for North Face. So sad. Back to used and discounted Patagonia!

Fuzzy and warm

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves it! He got to choose his jacket of choice right before winter in Illinois hit. In his words " Its cozy mom, I feel like I'm covered in a warm fuzzy blanket" he like to wear his jacket reversible also, so depending on his mood he would switch it around as he pleases. The stitching is good, love the accessible buttons on the hood. The only con would be the shipping, but I understand the circumstances we are in so 10/10
