Best duffel bag I have ever bought
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a emergency medical technician and was call out to the wild fires out in California. I traveled all the way from nyc to fersno California with my duffel bag with all my personal equipment and work equipment. This bag kept up with me in all kinds of weather and taurine. I was in the mountains and sleeping out doors and everything was secured at all times. This bag is by far one of my best investment and looking foward to taking it with me in many more rescue missions.
Very Good bag that used to be better
My favourite feature of the base camp duffels has been that iI can use the compression straps to secure the bags down to cargo racks on a bicycle porteur rack or motorcycle rear rack without needing to carry extra straps. The lopsided new design doesn't centre the weight right. The bags are durable and do a good job of keeping your stuff dry. I did a 17,000km road trip across Canada and everything stayed dry despite highway speeds in numerous torrential downpours crossing Ontario. The only time I've had one let in water was when the bag wasn't full (of gear) and water pooled on top of a low spot and water seeped in through the zipper. I now put my sleeping bag in a thin dry bag and squeeze the air out with my weight and close it up to keep it compact and dry when packed - compressed and dry without compression straps. Oh, then use the dry bag semi-full wrapped with a fleece pullover inside-out as a pillow at night.
Base Camp Bag turned into a sticky mess
The inside of the bag has turned into a sticky mess. After sending the bag to TNF for warranty, they sent it back to me saying it wasn't covered under their warranty as it's not a manufacturers defect. What?! This seems exactly like a manufactures defect. They didn't even bother trying to fix it. They said nothing could be done with my bag. I guess they don't know what a patch is. Don't waste your time with this bag or North Face. They're obviously not the environmentally responsible company they claim to be. Spend the extra cash on a Patagonia, at least they stand behind their product.
Great graduations present purchase!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My brother in law had this bag when he came to visit us. He said it was given to him as a graduation present and he has used it for years and loves it! I knew right away this would be the perfect graduation gift for my daughters boyfriend. We got it monogrammed and he LOVED IT!
Super tough!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this bag form off my climbing gear. When I hike to my climbing spots, often times the bag well rub against rock face and I need something that can stand up to that kind of abrasion.
BY FAR the best carry on bag EVER MADE
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just can't say enough about the bag. It's spacious, sleek, durable and is perfect for weekend get always. I hate rolling bags and this one you can wear on one shoulder or even both shoulders. It's perfect. If need be it can even slide under the seat on airplanes. But you strap it on and you aren't pulling or lugging anything and it feels great. The fact that it looks awesome is a bonus. Again...the best travel I've ever purchased. Buy it buy it BUY IT. You won't regret it.
Love it !
Love this bag, I've owned this bag since it came out I believe 2016 - 2021 this bag is still going strong, super durable, stays dry when left outside, easy to carry with all the strap choices, also a big one the zipper is amazing ! My bag has been on the airplane multiply times, boats, ferry's, to the hospital to have my children, and now it holds all my snowmobiling gear I just toss this bag around no worries! Love I'm finally going to buy one more in size small.
My bomber go-to duffel!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TNF duffle bags are the bags that starting it all, for other name brands to create their own. Whether for expedition (larger sizes), weekend or day excursions. The bags are durable and water resistant in light to medium rain. I own XL, L and Medium TNF duffle bags. This recent purchased I purchased a M sized bag as a go-bag in event I want to quickly head off over the weekend, either into the Cascade or Olympic Mountains or by the Pacific Ocean Coast.
Super sturdy, a little heavy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this bag for an upcoming sailing trip. I like the bright color (unlikely to get stolen) and the water resistance should come in handy on the dinghy to and from the boat. It's a little on the heavy side to begin with, but I think this is just a result of high quality materials. It should be small enough for carry on as long as I don't pack it to the gills, and the optional carrying straps (backpack style) will likely come in quite handy.
Amazing bag
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bag is great. I love the colors, I love the capacity of it, ease of use, I can't really think of one bad thing other than its heavy. But the build quality is amazing! Far better than any other duffle style bag that I own. And I love the straps to be able to use it as a backpack, that's probably my favorite feature. I wish there were more pockets on the outside for smaller things like electronics or something but that's just nit picking
