Don't expect breathability
Definitely works for wind, but may make you sweaty. Toward the end of a walk on a cool dry day, beads of moisture had collected on the inside of the jacket - presumably condensed from the exercise. I'll limit use of this to very light activities.
Effective but funky fit
It does its job which is great, but for me fit a bit funky. I’m 5”1’ and got a small and it just felt really long and baggy and the sleeves felt really long. Normally small works well for me so I found that a bit disappointing, but if I got a size smaller I think it would’ve been uncomfortably tight on my hips. Also when I would move the sound/feeling the coat would make against my shirt was really unpleasant.
Looks nice
Unfortunately I can’t speak to the functionality of the item because I had to return it. It runs large. I’m 5’10”, 145lb, typically a medium & this was big for my taste. It’s a very light material, nice print/pattern. Because I would use this in the summer I can’t imagine I’d need to pack enough layers underneath to justify all the extra room. It’s a matter of preference but the item is worth checking out
just a thin layer with no functionalaity
No pockets. Can't keep you warm or dry. Style is OK. But that's the least important thing for hiking attire.
Wind blocker
This jacket has a good fit, a bit snug but as a layering piece it is great. I wore in Utah on an extremely windy day and it was great. It does crinkle a bit but not loudly.
Almost 5-star
I got hooked in by the chance to try out a recycled-fiber jacket at a discount price. So far this one seems like it might be worth full price. I have worn it on brisk bicycle rides and it breathes better than some high-tech cycling jackets. I haven't tried it in real rain yet but it kept me dry in a light sprinkling. I'd give it 5 stars except that I don't like a hood on a cycling jacket.
