Well made, nice snowpants.

Haven't used them on the slopes yet, but they seem VERY well made. Things I like: 4 zippered pockets, zippered side air vents, gusset in the crotch which isn't mentioned in the description, but really makes it easier to move and squat, scuff guards, adjustable waist (the webbing strap on the model's right has a hook and loop/eye/tab/slot thingy that allows you to take up slack like a drawstring), overall flattering fit, and that they are a lightly lined shell, rather than fully insulated pants which can get too hot for me. There is still enough room for layering. Things that could be better: tighter waist adjustment and shorter length! I am 5'2" 110# with 27" waist and 35" hip and ordered the XS, so it is true to size by the chart. The waist needs to be a little snugger though, even when I take up all the slack. I can tweak this by moving and sewing the hook or tying a knot in the strap, so it is not a big deal. Also, a small tab on the waist would make them easier to take off when wearing gloves or mittens. There are 2 snaps plus velcro to secure the front which is a little hard to open even with bare hands, but I'm being picky here. Finally....they are too long. I am a shrimp, so a petite/short option would be really great, but I'm used to that and again could tweak it with sewing if I'm feeling really inspired (not likely!). These just look like awesome pants that will last a long time and I am eager to try them out!

Great but no zips?

This product is super functional and covers all of the bases (lots of pockets, adjustable waist, waterproof, durable, true to size, side zip vents), except it does NOT have ankle zippers. If you wear these ski touring, this is a big issue because it means you have to pull up the hem of your pants in order to flip your ski boots into hike mode. The ankle size is REALLY tight around ski boots as it is, so it's not an easy transition. Imagine doing this on a cliff? Really disappointed these pants do not have a zipper at the bottom, because they have every other feature imaginable and are incredible outside of that.

Really Happy!

Bought these for skiing as my old ones no longer for me. I'm quite impressed with them actually and once I get some decent base layers they will be perfect. As someone who is definitely defined as a curvy and muscular female I LOVE the fit. Which is not something I can usually say. The pant allows me to fit my legs, then be able to tighten the waist which is a major plus!! I have never been able to find a snow pants that allows me to do this. I'm usually a L in the legs/butt area and a XS/S in the waist area Only downside is the length. But I'm only 5 feet tall so length is usually always an issue, so I'm not too bothered by it because I knew that going on haha

Great pants with awesome features!

I've really enjoyed these pants - I'm usually an insulated-snow-pant-wearer at the resort so I was nervous I would freeze in OR's BlackPowder II pants, but they are incredibly windproof and provided just enough fabric between me and the chair to stay toasty. I also thoroughly enjoyed the Power Strap Loop, the waist adjustment for cinching/letting out depending on my layering, and the zipper vents. Only recommendation would be that they make the Beacon pocket larger.

Great ski pants!

These pants are great and have kept me warm and dry even in wet snow conditions and freezing rain/snow conditions. The insulation layer is light but surprisingly warm and the pants are roomy enough for a additional base layer underneath. The waistband is adjustable for custom fitting and the back of the waistband is higher than the front to protect your backside from snow if/when you fall. The pockets are a nice feature and there are side vents in which to release heat. Most important to me is the fact that I have been able to stay dry - Well done OR! Sizing is true to size: I am 5'6", 115 lbs and wear XS.

Warm, comfortable and robust.

I use these pants for work on ski patrol. They are really robust which I didn't expect from such soft material but no holes yet! The sizing is a little larger than normal but I allow for extra pants underneath for those -30°c days. I'm 5'9 and 145lbs and I bought the mediums.

Perfect Snow Pants

I am 5'7, 125lbs and bought a size small. These ski pants fit me slightly too tight (for a ski pant), and I would have preferred them to be an inch longer, but they otherwise fit great. I wouldn't have wanted to size up as I think a medium would have been a bit too roomy. I bought these pants for snowmobiling as I already have a pair of the women's Hemispheres Bibs for touring and the resort. I was looking for a tougher fabric with a little bit more insulation than my Hemispheres Bibs and that is exactly what I got. I have worn these a few times now and I am very happy with them. Perfect amount of insulation, perfect durability (not too flimsy, but also not too stiff), and almost perfect size (but still great).

Good Pants

Love these pants for skiing. I like that they are not insulated and I can control the warmth by layering. However I have 2 complaints. I had to size up so they would fit in the butt. The pants allow very little room if you have projection in the tush. They are crazy long! The inseam is 32.5", which is longer than my husband's brand new ski pants. I can't wear them for anything but skiing because they will drag the ground and be ruined. O.R. if you are only going to have 1 length of pants please make the seems like kids so you can let them out if you need the length.

Don't fit over boots

I was so excited when I got my pants in the mail a few days ago but became quickly disappointed when I found they don't fit over any of my ski boots. Am I missing a hidden zipper? I really hope so! I have a size small, and they fit my body great. Very comfortable. Im guessing I'm going to have to order a size up to fit over my boots? I am at fault for not checking the measurements before ordering but this has never happened to me before so I didn't think to do it. Be aware and make sure they will work with your gear before you make this investment!

So far a great pant for work in the snow!

So far these pants have been pretty decent. I am outside for work in the snow and they are proving to be useful. They have a durable feel to them which is exactly what I wanted. They are dry when I come inside so that's also great! I did not think I would like the front pocket but I do find myself using it a lot. The size and fit of the pants is a little off. I ordered an extra small as per the sizing chart and I ended up returning them for a small. The small feels like two sizes up so they do fit on the larger size for me.
