Chacos DON'T LAST

I thought Chacos was supposed to be the iron clad of sandals. They don't last. This is the second pair that broke. The first one they warrantied because they were <1 year. It turns out if you're barely over a year that is all the expect the life to be for their sandals. Buy Reefs or Olukai instead. These are junk.

Sandals failed and Chaco denies warranty

The strap on my sandals came out after 5 years of light use in Michigan. No problem, I thought. I remember the REI team member telling me about their lifetime warranty which is why I sprang for $60 flip flops. First, Chaco tried to tell me that this failure was normal wear and tear. After I made the case that it is not wear and tear, they denied that they had a lifetime warranty. After I referenced the warranty page on their website, they stated that it means "life of product", which they decided is now over (of course, since the product failed). I would not recommend dealing with this unethical company or paying $60 for sandals that don't even last as long as $10 drug store sandals

awkward + painful

To be clear, I think the issue is this model, not Chaco--I had old Chaco flip flops that were amazing and lasted six years of constant tough wear; so of course I went Chaco again. These shoes cut your feet! I've been trying to "break in" the shoes and my feet for over a year...they still cut my feet! And the sole is way too heavy. Don't buy this

Poor design

Chico’s are great! Right? Not so fast. I got suckered in to this pair. Let me just say: these are the worst sandals I have ever owned. You can’t get much worse than these. If you just stand on them and don’t move, you’re ok. The soles are comfortable, but they are too heavy and feel like lead weight when you walk. By contrast, the webbing is flimsy and cuts into your skin, aggravated by the weight of the sole. You can think about buying these, buuuut don’t do it!

Horrible

Honestly not sure how anyone can wear these, the material they use for the straps cuts into the skin on the top of your feet and between your toes within 15mins of wearing them. Really like them so have tried all sorts of things to make them bearable to wear, just doesn't work.

A lot of flipflops delaminate

I was looking for a flipflop that was well made and comfortable. The Chaco appears to be made well but was not all that comfortable.

Pain between the toes

Comfortable and good support for foot bottom. Too thick and hard between toes at the top.

Oldest Pair of Flip Flops

My husband bought another pair similar to these 4 years ago and they are still going strong! I decided to snag another pair for him since he loves them so much and wears them ALL the time. He claims he never wore flip flops before purchasing these. There's a slight tear in one of the straps but I think that is user error not due to the quality of the material. Highly recommend!

Glues used to bind straps with synthetic soles came off even though flops seldom use since black soles leaves marks on my white bathroom floors - Chacos' durability has gone WAAAYYY down...
