Wore them around he house a bit and they were great so I took them on an easy 5 mile trail run to break them in. They were so ill fitting that I already had blisters within two miles. I have never done this with any shoe before, but I actually had to take them off and walk the rest of the way. The toe box is narrow and incredibly long. While I like some wiggle room, especially running downhill, there was a full half inch of space between my toes and the front of the shoe. Nobody's foot is shaped that way. The toe box was small and unforgiving. Blisters formed on the outside of both my big toes and between toes from being smashed together and nonstop rubbing. I could feel the seam between the insole and the side of the shoe which was also causing me discomfort. These would be okay for short walks but I can not recommend them for running or hiking more than a few miles. Cons: -Narrow toe box -too much space in the toe -little arch support Pros: -seamless heel. excellent design, very comfortable, no rubbing or blisters on heel -stylish design and color -love the grip on the bottom -relatively lightweight -price. Got them on sale

These are very comfortable shoes! They are light weight, yet have good support. The fabric is a tight enough weave that these will be perfect for cool weather. My only complaint is the sizing. The last couple of Solomon shoes I have ordered ran small, so I ordered a half size larger. Oops, these are sized right on, therefore they are a bit big for me. But since they are so comfortable I am keeping them. But if I had ordered my regular size would have given these 5 stars and I rarely give 5 stars. The dangers of buying shoes on-line!

Extremely happy with these Alphacross. Admittedly, they are an earlier version but that doesn't take anything away from their performance. Straight from the box and they smashed out 10 miles across very muddy terrain. The trainers were comfortable, even when running on tarmac sections of our route. Also, I didnt fall over once. That alone is a testament to how great they are.

Having bought many pairs of Salomon trainers and hill walking boots I am a convert. On this occasion I was disappointed as both trainers arrived with a stain on the top of the fabric! Apart from that I am very happy with the purchase.

I've tried many shoes and boots on a trail I hike regularly. These shoes have impressed me every time I've worn them on the trail. Their grip is amazing, even on wet surfaces. The fit was surprising right out of the box. The site said to buy a half size smaller, which I did. They don't move on your foot but also don't squeeze or crush the top of your foot, which has happened with other shoes, if they're tight enough to not slide around, they're too tight and squeeze uncomfortably. This pair of Solomons has never done that. I'm impressed.

As stated elsewhere, these shoes really run large. I wear an 11 in Salomon and I had a good one inch extra in the toe and lots of extra room in the top and sides. Had to return.

I normally wear 9.5 in Salomon and every other shoe but i ended up buying 9.5,9, 8.5 and 8 and they were all too big except 8 which was too small. crazy sizes!

I have been wearing these shoes since the first day I received them on my 2 to 3 mile daily walks. I found they are very comfortable and feel great! I have found Salomon sneakers to be the most comfortable sneakers I have owned since having a few issues with my feet.
