Best everyday/dress merino wool socks
Alex D

These are by far the best everyday/dress merino wool socks I've tried - and I've tried many from different brands (Darn Tough, Point 6, Cloudline, FITS and Boardroom). Perfect thickness (typical for regular cotton socks, should be good for summer as well) and fit, soft, very comfortable. Wool content shown on the label of the socks I got was actually higher than listed here on the web (66%). No stupid drawings, logos and crazy colors, can be worn with dress shoes as well. In my experience the only socks that come close are also Icebreaker - Lifestyle Fine Gauge Crew Socks - they are actually even slightly thinner and lighter than these, 47 g vs 52 g for these socks (size L for my 11.5). These Ultralight socks fit me a tiny bit better though, probably because they come in more sizes (Fine Gauge only available in two sizes: S/M + L/XL). Or may be because they have a bit more compression. A tiny bit - but it makes them fit a bit more supportive.

do not expect too much from the product. as someone mentioned, the socks are too thin with no cushion. they are not for hiking. they look like they are from a department store if there is no logo on them. I am going to keep them since I bought them with a good discount and use them as casual socks. by the way the color is something between blue/gray

Wore out quickly

I purchased a bunch of socks at the same time and these wore out considerably faster than any of the others despite being given the same care and amount of wear.

Nice sock, but…

Purchased from REI Outlet. Love the socks. Perfect weight and thickness. Unfortunately, one sock developed a hole during the first washing. So not very durable.

Lightweight, form-fitting and comfortable

I started with one pair of Icebreaker socks as a test, and now I don't buy anything else. In every weight, they are a great fit, using their size chart recommendations. These lightweight socks are great for daily wear. They are also warm enough that they are my go-to socks in my nordic and alpine ski boots. Great durability for a wool sock, they are worth the $.

Typical high quality Icebreaker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] OK, my only complaint about these socks is that they aren't as Ultralight as I wanted. I have gotten socks from Icebreaker in the past that were thinner, and I had hoped that these would be equally thin. They weren't. But they are, nonetheless, excellent socks.
