Worth the price
I've been buying these thick Sole insoles for many years. The old blue ones that were promoted by Ed Viesturs were probably the best. The cork ones that came next didn't last at all, and didn't provide as good of support. The new black ones are more like the originals, and are more durable than the cork, but may have a bit thinner and more flexible plastic underneath. Overall, they're very good, and compare well with the other brands of footbeds that I wear, including Downunders and BootDoc.
Great for Plantar fasciitis
These are the best insoles I've found, so far. I have plantar fasciitis and wear Men's Oboz backpacking boots with great support, but need cushion to protect my feet - and these do it. They are thicker than most, which is harder to find. With thin bamboo socks and Sole insoles I'm able to stand longer at work, go for walks, and my feet stay dry, despite this extra hot summer. These are great if you need supportive cushion and have room for a thicker insole.
The Plastic base is back!
These are so superior to superfeet. They mold to your feet over time, and last for years. They finally got rid of the cork based ones, which just didn't last. I used to hoard these plastic base kind. Great arch support and super comfy. They help with arch and foot pain.
Satisfied
Use in hiking boots. Quick and easy to heat form to foot. Removed the factory insole of my boots and replaced with these. These do take up a tad more room in my boots but I simply loosened the laces on my arch and the fit is good. Initially the formed arch is noticeable (I have average arches, not high or flat). This isn't a bad thing and it seems the insoles continue to form with use. I purchased these because my feet were starting to hurt on long walks. These have definitely helped.
Best insoles found
These are the most comfortable, long lasting, and customizable insoles I have found in 20 years of trying out various brand and models within this brand.
Best insole for hiking boots
The hiking boots I usually wear were causing knee pain. I chose Sole insoles after reading the reviews. There are three types of Sole insoles and chose the thick pair for the boots. Followed the directions for the insoles and was pleasantly surprised I had no more knee pain. Would recommend to anyone who needs thick insoles.
Well designed product
SOLE Insoles conform to the shape of your feet while providing excellent arch support to prevent excessive pronation. I have used these insoles for over 10 years in hiking boots, running shoes, and my dress shoes. They are available in Active Thick and Medium depending on your type of shoe. My only complaint is the price has gone up over 20-30% in the past year or so.
I ordered and started using these in my daily work boots 7 months ago. Initially, I was very pleased, but recently a hole has worn through under the ball of my foot. For something advertised for high-intensity daily use, I'm disappointed they didn't even last a year.
I've Got Sole
Love the Sole inserts. I prefer the cork inserts for work, where I do a lot of standing in place, and the active for the gym and hiking. I wear a 9.5 mens shoe in most brands and the 9M/11W fit my boots, dress shoes, and sneakers.
Mediocre
They have a lip that causes blisters on the arch for me. I can't figure out how to get rid of it. Only occurs when running in them though. Otherwise fairly comfortable for walking.
