A simple, fun and sporty saddle
This bike seat was a replacement for a worn and narrow stock saddle on my budget bike. Picked this up for $30 or so and was pleasantly surprised how supportive it was for my posture sitting upright. I also like how the padding was just right for a sporty and aggressive road bike position. Overall, it’s a solid entry level seat.
Great saddle upgrade
This saddle has been a great upgrade from the one that came on my bike, but probably not the most comfortable out there. However, with the price at $35 I think it has been well worth it. I could only get a about 7-10 miles out of my stock saddle before I could hardly take it. Now after 15-20 miles with the Bontrager Sport, I have some mild discomfort but it’s still a big upgrade from the Giant saddle that came with my bike. Make sure you fine tune your adjustments on the saddle when you first put it on so that you get the most comfort.
I like this more than I wanted to!
I purchased another brand of saddle that was highly reviewed and more specifically engineered for mountain biking. I loved the look and the lines of the other saddle, and really wanted to love how it felt. Unfortunately, it just didn't feel right. I was browsing my local REI and saw this Bontrager Sport. It looked wider than I wanted and didn't have that "high end/high performance" look, but wow... I put it on my mountain bike and it feels great. It has nice cushioning to reduce a little of the jarring feeling going over roots and bumps, but isn't so soft that it feels unstable. It's a little wider than I wanted, but that wideness makes it feel really great. Even though my sit bones are around 105mm, I still find I like this Bontrager saddle more than the "other" brand saddle that I really wanted to like!
Enabled me to go longer, Ride more frequently
This seat has saved my but! Lol No growing or sit bone numbness or rawness. I installed on my hybrid, to replace a expensive Italian saddle. (Prior to this seat, I was supper sore after 15 miles. After, I did a 3 1/2 hr ride for 50 miles (in my new pro Pearl Izumi shorts) and I was fresh at the end. It’s wide, which works for my hybrid riding style, but as a result, my legs rub on the back end. (But worth the comfort in my opinion). Because it’s wide, the growing canal is fresher after big rides! The sit bone is a little fatigued but not sore! I have a road bike with a thinner seat, and the canal is super sore after 50 miles. (With good shorts). The prior expensive saddle could only stand 15 miles and my sit bone was too done. So, if you are having either one of these issues, this seat may fix it for you!
Back in the saddle again.
I purchased this saddle based on what I read. From the description posted, it seemed to fit the bill. Well, it does. Although it is slimmer and less padded than the saddle that came on my bike, it works very well. I usually ride about 5 miles (about 20 minutes) in the afternoon and I am not sore or uncomfortable while riding or afterwards. It is a very comfortable saddle. I am very pleased with it.
Good for 2 hour rides
I bought it to try instead of Selle Royal saddle that came with my CTY 2.1 bike. I felt comfortable riding on Selle Royal for about an hour, two was problematic. I find this Bontrager saddle a bit more comfortable and good for 2 hour ride.
Comfortable saddle
I replaced a wider Bell seat which was much cushier than this. However, the seat is very comfortable when I wear my padded bike shorts. I’ve only been using this seat for a month or so, but it is surprisingly easy to ride. No numbness in the groin.
Comfortable saddle
Purchased to replace my stock saddle, this is much better.
Painful
I went on a 20 mile ride on a maintained gravel road and immediately the saddle was uncomfortable. After a while it became very painful and I had to keep standing up. I'm still in pain hours after the ride. I also could have used more of a recess in the middle. I'm around 140 lbs and I have about 152mm sit bone width.
Perfect saddle
Bought this for my gym/grocery store bike. After riding several times about 6 miles round trip I am finding it is perfect for my needs. The padding is just right. Its not a plush saddle but at the same time does offer some padding. I looked around and my impression this was the best budget saddle out there
