- Dry treatment meets the UIAA standard for water repellency, absorbing just 1.5% of its weight in water even after surface abrasion, making the rope more durable
- Special heat treatments incorporated into the dry process increase the tenacity of the nylon fibers, making the rope much more abrasion resistant than a non-treated rope
- 60 m length balances long leads and rappels with weight and bulk for approach and descent
- 9.5 mm diameter is ideal for a light single rope when you want to move light and fast on the approach and the climb, but still want good durability
- Ready-to-climb packaging improves handling of the rope
- bluesign® approved product means the company took deliberate steps to reduce negative impacts on the health of the environment, workers and users

Good rope, starts out sticky
I've used this rope for about 3 months, only crag sport climbing so far. No alpine. The rope size and feel is good. Love the bright orange color. Rope doesn't twist too badly so is easily manageable. The main issue is it has this sticky coating to it which causes problems belaying, especially feeding rope quickly to a leader. If you pinch the rope you can feel your fingers sticking to it. I contacted Mammut and they implied no knowledge of the issue and said to try to wash it. I don't buy that since the reviews on the Mammut site itself highlight the issue. In any event, I haven't washed it yet. With repeated use the stickiness is starting to subside.

A Great Do-it All Rope
This rope has a great feel, it feeds through a gri gri super smooth. I’m really glad I picked this rope up. It will be my go to for an occasional alpine climb, the local crag, glacial travel when I need to bump up rope length.
9.9/10
Very nice! It has a hard time going through an ATC type device because it's very tacky due to the dry coating,I assume when it breaks in more it will get better, it just makes the rappel a little slow, but it stops on a dime! Other than that minor issue it feels good and no stiffness whatsoever.

Awesome rope, love it!
Great rope, durable and reliable. Primarily use it in dry environments but I have used it in a variety of weather conditions and its always done very well. Ive used it in snow and had no problems with the rope stiffening as often will happen in cold temps if the rope absorbs too much water. The weight and size are comfortable for me. I personally like the length and have had no problem with it, but I know it may be a little short for some folks. It is a dry treated sheath and core, so if you are not going to be climbing in wet/snowy/other than dry conditions, you do not need this rope. But for those of you who are going out in different conditions for whatever adventures you may share, this is a great rope!

Exceptional rope
I love mammut alpine and crag dry ropes. I have an 80m crag and a 60m alpine I don't see or feel any difference besides colors and naming. They have both held up exceptionally well to abrasion and sheath wear. The dry coating can feel a little tacky at first but that goes away quickly with use. The 9.5 diameter runs smoothly through a grigri and is still thick enough to feel like the rope won't get away from you during a fall. The stretch of the rope is just in that sweet spot not too much and not too little.

Its a rope.
Handles good. Used an 80m to link pitches in the alpine climbing prism time and saber ridge in Sequoia National park summer 22. Dry is great when you top out in thunderstorms, but if you move fast enough cali rain can't catch you. Anyone can use this rope, but will excel while moving fast and light in the alpine. I use it with an alpine guide belay device but should work for sportclimbers using grigris

I like this rope because it is a good rope. The dry treating makes it nice and durable while still being nice and light due to the thin diameter. I use this rope for everything from general sport cragging climbing to full on alpine cragging climbing. The rope is good and I certainly will get it again as my next rope when I get a new rope for a rope. I love rope and I love this rope as it is a great rope!

Love this rope
I got this as my first all around rope for getting into outdoor sport and trad climbing and so far it'll been great. Fees great in an ATC or GriGri, provides great catches, and the color really stands out to make it easy to see (and not trip over). Lightweight too, which is great. It took a little digging but seems that this rope is identical to the crag 9.5 Dry, but in orange.

Super bright!
Rope works as expected. Took a couple falls last year on it. Had a few climbers comment on how bright the orange rope was contrasting in the snow. Does look awesome in pictures! Had a top rope set up all day on ice. The rope stayed dry and didn't add any weight while packing it out. Ties easily. Very happy with it. Definitely will buy again.

I love this rope, will keep buying
I have used this rope extensively in its past iterations and now this is my 5th one. This rope holds up very well to abrasion and is my main pick on long trad routes. It feeds very smoothly through multiple types of belay devices and knots tie easily. Great rope to trust your life to.
