Too narrow - otherwise seems great

This model was significantly narrower, pointier toe, and lower volume than my existing 5.10 bike shoes in the same size. It looks solid and well constructed, and I would otherwise be excited to give it a try.

Awesome MTB Shoes

This are way better then expected. I did have to exchange the original order for a size smaller based on what I usually wear. The Stealth rubber grips pretty well to my pedals with the pins. Before I was using some old soccer turf shoes but my foot would come off the pedal a lot. I was debating to get the Trailcross XT since I hit my ankle a few times so I went straight with these since D30 helps with if this happens again for only a $5 difference. I also like the sleeve to prevent rocks from going into your shoe. When I take my shoe off you will see the line where the sleeve does not allow dirt in.

Tested the shoe twice so far....

I bought this pair shoes hoping they would grip the pedals on my mountain because the other shoes I used slipped and the pedal would hit my shins . Only downside after owning these shoes is putting them on. It’s a high top shoe with a spandex type sock around the ankle area so you have to stretch out the sock to slide your feet in. But once you get your feet in the shoe is super comfortable. I’ve read reviews that they don’t look good for everyday use like after a ride they’re not good looking going out to have a bite or being out in public. I think they look great and I highly recommend them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would rather have them take the IMPACT and put an ankle cuff on it like this shoe…I need a bit higher IMPACT this shoe is very unprotective in every way you can tell the creators of this shoe never rode a second of their life off road it’s a shoe with potential but until the impact is made higher just stay with the impact and wear a ankle support …IMPACT IS STILL THE BEST SHOE EVER MADE FOR OFF ROAD AND FLAT PEDALS …ANYONE THAT CLIPS IN OFF ROAD DOES NOT RIDE MY CALIBER OF STUFF I RIDE HIGHLY TECHNICAL ROCK GARDENS NOT WEST COAST SISSY STUFF OR COLORADO UTAH SISSY STUFF EAST COAST IS REAL OFF ROAD AND WHAT THE IMPACT IS MADE FOR.

Look and feel great

I did lots of research and finally decided to get these. I love the look and feel and they are extremely comfy. Many reviews say you should size down half which I did but found these too small so returned and went for the correct size. My only grumble is the second pair must have been a return at some point, the box was tatty, packing material inside was ripped, shoe inserts were twisted and the laces were all undone. Finally there seems to be glue marks between the shoe fabric and sole in a few places which doesn't look great. The sole isn't coming away but I will monitor this and return under warranty if there are any problems.

A little tight around the ankle.

I found these a little tight around the ankle. Everything else about the fit was perfect. I am a size 9 & bought the size 9.5. They were pretty true to size. I bought a size up because I wanted room for thick socks etc. The rubber grip is excellent & apart from the tightness around my admittedly thick lower leg they are very comfortable. The tightness around the area just above my ankle is the price I would have to pay for the added protection the higher boot design gives. All round great shoe for riding & walking. Feels & looks good.

Perfect fit, very comfortable and dry really quick after a wet ride. I can’t fault these, one of the best pair of shoes I own for mountain biking.

We have just come back from a long weekend of riding in the New Forest. All I can say is these shoes put up with it all, long days, wet weather and lots of dirt. We got caught out with the rain on the first day and both got soaked. They dried faster than expected and were ready to ride after a night in the dry. The same couldn’t be said for my partners shoes, I wish they did these in more colours or a women’s only pair. The neoprene top holds out all the dirt, I’ve had lots of dry rides during lockdown and couldn’t fault them. The grip is excellent. I’ve read that they are bringing out a waterproof pair later this year. If the do that’s my next investment for the winter riding.

Exceptional quality and comfort

Have used Five Ten's for many years now. Still have a few pairs from all those years ago. Going strong. However I needed something to try to keep my feet drier and something that would dry quicker. On arrival these looked stunning and the quality great. My first ride I was blow away by just how comfortable they are. Not too wide, not too narrow. Enough support and on flat pedals felt amazing. I used them with a thin waterproof sock. The boots got a tad wet and with wind chill my feet didn't get uncomfortably cold. And they later dried out quickly. I love the colour, the style and the fit and comfort.
