Great materials and features, sizing is less reliable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the basics of these pants but the sizing was the tricky part. I’m 5’10” and 150 lbs so I consulted the fit guide and ordered the M regular. The fit was much bigger than expected, in the waist and in length. Even with the velcro waist adjustments fully cinched, they were too loose. So, I ordered a size S regular, figuring that the small size would be about right through the waist and length. Unfortunately, the S waist is smaller than the fully cinched M waist on the pair I returned. Perhaps a few more sit-ups are in order, but I think there may be a gap in sizing that can be addressed. Of note, length in the S was just right for my 32” inseam.

Great pair of ski pants !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've skied in these pants a few times this season and found them very comfortable. One day around 20 degrees and another around 40. They were so comfortable on either day, I forgot I had them on. The quality shows in details such as in the pockets and their function. Smooth operating and properly spaced, burley but not over done. The snow gaiter is perfect. These pants move with you and do not bunch up or restrict movement. A nicely thought out product. But then this is what I've learned to expect from the Mountain Hardwear Brand, high quality products, attention to product detail, and at reasonable price. The high ball pants are everything I expected !

Excellent, strong Waterproof & Penguin poop proof

Fit was very true to size I bought Xl (I'm 6ft and 195 lbs) Wore them on my Antarctic expedition. They were warm enough to only need single layer underneath for 0 C temps. Excellent Wind proof and water proof. We used open boats and water landings at each stop. Winds of 30klm/h were felt but not a problem. Even Penguin poop did not stick to the pants.

Comfortable and warm!

They were comfortable and very warm while skiing in very cold conditions in the Sierra. Depending on the conditions they could be a little warm for spring skiing (note: there are vents on the inner thighs). They fit snug around the waist and through thigh area, if you have bulkier or muscular thighs and backside. The front pocket on the right thigh is fairly flat so that you could really only carry flat items. I would have preferred that the inner lining had either zippers or velcro straps to enclose around my boots rather than elastic. This is a personal preference as I felt it would be easier to pulled the pants down around the boots. However, this is a minor point. Otherwise, they performed excellently.

Comfortable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am 5 ft 8 in tall and wear size 32-30 jeans. I bought the Highball pants in a Medium/Short size and they fit just right. The pants feel like they are of very high quality. I just went up for a 2-day weekend of snowboarding and they kept me warm and dry. When the weather was getting warm, the vents did their job well! The only cons I have with the pants are: 1. The pocket zippers can be opened with one hand but need two hands to be closed. 2. There are no zippers to make it easier to fit the bottoms of the pants over larger boots. I had to wiggle them on. My solution to the pocket zipper problem is simply not to use them, but to use my jacket pockets instead. Otherwise, I would definitely buy these again - they are very comfortable!

Great ski pants

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just bought these pants but had a chance to wear them them on an early opening day of skiing. I wore an uninsulated pair of MHW last year and thought I would like a little more warmth. I really like the added cargo pocket in front, great for a phone, but a zipper rather than velcro closure would be nice. They added mesh vents to the thigh vents which is also a nice touch. Same great heavy duty fabric and fun new colors! And thanks for still offering the 3 inseam sizes.

Great Quality, Great Price, Nice and Toasty

I was looking to update my snowboard wardrobe when I came across these snow pants. I've never owned insulated snow pants before, but figured for the sale price, I'd try them out. So happy I purchased these and so is my father in law who skis. He liked mine so much he asked me to order him a pair too. Sizing tip - I am traditionally a 34 waist, but had to buy a Large as the Mediums were a little too snug in the hips (my stats - athletic build, 190lbs, 6' tall).

Good fit, good insulation

These pants strike a good balance between weight and slim fit. They're not tiny, but they are quite a bit slimmer than most insulated snow pants in a similar price range. The material feels pretty durable, and is reasonably light overall. The only quibble I have is that the pants have only an elastic ankle system, rather than offering more control by providing zippers or snaps to cinch down the fit (like the ones on the MH Cyclone pants).

Supreme Snow Pants

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These snow pants are a great design with quality materials. They will certainly handle the cold and take abuse as well. I went with black so I had more flexibility with my other gear. As far as sizing, I am glad I went with the Large. In regular pants I am a 32/33 Length and a 35 width. With the adjustable Velcro side straps you have room to play if you are bigger or smaller. I believe I will get years of use out of these insulated snow pants

Rare Tall Gear

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At 6'8" it's difficult to find any high quality gear that is long enough. Sizing is generally a bit smaller than other brands so I went up a bit to XXL, but I'm definitely right between the sizes so check the chart for your proper fit. Function of the pants are great for skiing and have flexibility for snowshoeing without overheating. Material is great and the pockets are big enough for most needs. Long sizing works with any type of boots.
