Awful sizing consistency

The sizing on Merrells is driving me absolutely nuts. In 2016 I bought this exact boot and had to go with a size 7 when I'm usually a 7.5. They were perfect and they were my ride or die boot, wearing them everyday for work, they healed my plantar fascitis. They're really worn out and need to be replaced now. Last month in a store I tried on the 2019 version of this boot and a 7.5 was a perfect fit so that's what I ordered in these, which I believe to be the 2017 or 2018 version. Lo and behold they are to short and too narrow. This is a little off topic but a few months ago I ordered about 5 different pairs of shoes, boots, and sandals from Merrell and they ALL fit so differently I ranged from needing a 6.5 to an 8. Merrell, get your stuff together, people like consistency and you're not encouraging brand loyalty.

No breaking in time!

These boots were perfect! Worn them for the first time on a few hikes in Big Sur and it was like I'd owned them for years. No need to break them in at all. They are wider than other hiking boots I tried so that could be why. I wear a 5 but my feet are a little wide so I usually have trouble finding shoes I can wear right away without breaking in or getting stretched. These shoes were awesome and so comfortable and kept my feet warm and dry on a rainy day hike!

1/2 size too Short

I've worn a size 11 Merrell for the last 15-years. This is the second pair of Merrell's that have been too short. Order up!
