- Safe Control bi-pattern (70 m rope only) uses a change of pattern in the rope to indicate the length sufficient for descending

Great Rope; Excellent BiColor
I needed a rope for an upcoming trip to Moab. Almost bought the Tommy Caldwell rope on display in the store, but felt like the BiColor difference was not as "visible" as with this rope. Also, Beal has a great reputation for top quality ropes, as does the company that makes the Tommy Caldwell rope, BTW. I just wanted something more obvious to the eye. The feel of this rope is substantial; I do not prefer "soft" ropes.
Great Project Rope
I love this rope for projecting sport climbs. It's not so skinny that rope shenanigans (like boinking) are difficult, but it's still nice and light, which helps to keep your pack light (maybe not an issue for Rifle, but a huge plus for place like Canmore or Ceuse). The slight extra beefiness as compared to the joker also helps provide a longer lifetime.
Adequate
Climbed with this rope for about one season (5 months, once or twice a week) near the ocean. It’s a pretty salty environment so I’ll typically rinse my ropes after each session with fresh water and hang them to dry. I have a 5 year old 9.8 mm Ederid rope I now use as a tag line for gear that still dries overnight. The Beal typically takes a couple days. Obviously not a reason to buy a rope, but I found the rope gets a bit tacky through my belay device with warmer temps, not ideal for paying out slack when lead belaying. Maybe it would be better suited to a colder environment. I’d be interested to hear from someone who has tried ice climbing with it. Honestly it’s been a good rope but if you need one that’s going to repel water and stay dry, I might try something different.
Excellent
Bought as my first rope on sale, Fantastic product, I use this for outdoor climbing, sport and top rope, its got a good stretch so it feels like you actually fall on Top rope if you have some slack on the rope, and being caught on a good fall with this rope on lead feels great. Great color on feel on belay, have yet to use it in wet conditions but I don't doubt it would be great. The only nitpick I have is that the center mark on my rope is just slightly off center by maybe an inch or two, or maybe its just the way I coil it, other than that, great rope.
