Dandy IK, good value
this is a great IK for those who only get to paddle 15 to 20 days a year or less. white water capable, and no problem on flat water if you have some actual paddle skills. I've paddled the top models and most everything down to vinyl walmart toys, and the Star Raven is solid, reliable, easy to care for and dandy for most anything. The included carry bag and pump (with pressure gauge) is a plus. again, not the top of the line, but way above the middle mark and a fine value.
Winner Inflatable Kayak Star Raven I
I purchased the Raven I for some of the rivers with rapids that I paddle. I own two other STAR’s, the sit on top kayak/paddle board which is awesome. The other the Paragon I kayak for flat water. STAR is well made! I own two Advanced Elements single kayaks which are also well made, but can’t handle the water like the Raven I. I did buy the fin kit from NRS for the STAR Raven I for spots in some of the rivers that may be slow. You can’t go wrong with the Raven I. Different waters need different kayaks. With the fin kit the Raven I could be all you need.
Solid boat
I own 4 Raven I and love them. My kids and friends enjoy using them on day trips. I've taken them down some pretty hairy stretches of river and the hold up very well. All four are in their 5th year of service, so you know it will outlive its warranty. The Raven I is a very well made product. I highly recomend them!
