All Scarpa non-plastic footwear uses European sizing.
• 1 Euro whole size = 6.6 mm = 0.26 inches
• 1 US whole size = 8.4 mm = 0.33 inches
• The 30 Euro sizes above cover the same size range as 24 US sizes.
• More Euro sizes provide a better, more precise fit for your intended use.
Rock Shoes: Scarpa recommends you downsize 1/2 to 2 full sizes from street shoe size, though downsizing depends on shoe model, intended use and personal preference.
Mountaineering: Scarpa recommends you upsize 1/2 size or more depending on desired fit. Scarpa plastic mountaineering boots are based on the UK sizing scale.
Ski Boots: All Scarpa ski bootsare measured in Mondo sizing. Highlighted (or not) sizes share the same shell size; the liners are lasted for each 1/2 size. Some skiers may want to downsize up to 1 full Mondo size, depending upon personal preference.

Such a tough, well-made boot in a desert-friendly color! I wish I could keep it. Unfortunately, the toe box is too tight. I held the shoe up sole-to-sole with some favorites and it is significantly narrower in the front than my snuggest boot. If your foot runs slightly narrow, you will love it!
Boot blew out 7 miles into the Colorado backcountry. A picture is worth a thousand words.
I've never written a product review but had to for this boot. This is the 4th pair of Scarpa Kailash boots I've owned because the fit is perfect right out of the box, no need to break in, and they are super comfortable! They also provide great support for my feet. I'll be wearing them when I hike the AT - can't wait!!
Wore these for 7 days on Kilimanjaro and was extremely happy with them!! One of my favorite pieces of gear on the whole trip. On summit day others in our group were struggling with extremely cold feet while my feet felt great. In the warmer temperatures they felt equally as comfortable and were breathable yet waterproof. I broke them in with about 30 miles of wear before the trip just in case, but they felt comfortable out of the box and I never struggled with hot spots or any other issues while breaking them in or during the 4-6 hours of daily hiking on the mountain. I got a half size up to have room for wool socks which was perfect. They clung onto large boulders we had to climb, stayed dry after being submerged in streams, insulated my feet and kept me warm in the artic zone, and held up through the thick mud and gravel slopes on the way down. They were even comfy in the airport and on the plane since I wore them to guarantee they wouldn’t get lost in transit on the way there. They’re the best boots I’ve ever owned and were worth every penny! They’re more expensive then what I would normally spend, but avoiding the issues others had with frostbite, blisters, and sore feet was DEFINITELY worth it!
Have had 3 pairs of these wonderful boots over the years. Excellent traction and holds up well on the rough, rocky trails in the Whites. No need to break in- comfortable right out of the box.
I have had a Scarpa boot before, but my body may have changed so that such a high boot is not great for knees and hips on a rocky trail. The fit is great, and feet are very happy. The boot is easy to get in and out of, something that has bugged me with my Oboz. Will try some shorter hikes to see if this is just an alignment thing.
Extremely comfortable and well made, virtually no break in required. Thinking about returning them even though the quality/price ratio is a great one. I hiked 20 milers without blisters three times, but my WHOLE body aches. Muscles, knees...NOT enough cushioning.I had a pair of Lowa Tibet prior to these, heavier by comparison, but experienced NO problems for 10 years.
I bought this for my wife. The boot is awesome. But I can't find the manufacture date on the shoe box...
