Extremely comfortable, but not for all uses

These are great shorts for so many uses. Light and comfortable. I love them! However, DO NOT bushwack in these, stay on the trail! Brambles and sharp limbs will tear them to pieces, pulling threads out at will. They have no resistance and are not designed for this. Stay on the trail, where I think they will be some of the best shorts you own.

Great short, sizing small.

These shorts were too small for me at an XL, I typically wear a 38" or XL. I returned in store and they didn't have a larger size. They reminded me a bit too much of several golf shorts I have with the more glossy fabric. They were great but too much like something I already had, plus the wrong size. Totally good short and would recommend, just order a size up.

Good base, poor execution, you should pass on them

These used to be the Pacific Creek shorts, which were close to the perfect outdoor shorts. Lightweight, useful pockets, nothing extra. Now they've added mesh pockets and a lining but only on the left leg, which effectively makes the left leg have a TRIPLE layer of fabric, totally canceling out the usefulness of the exterior moisture wicking fabric. The thigh pocket is odd because it places your item on the back of the thigh. Anyway, you should pass on these shorts, probably good they are discontinued and hopefully they bring back the Pacific Creek shorts.

Versatile. Good pockets. Bit tight in the crotch.

I bought these Rolling Sun shorts because they were deeply discounted and I figured I'd try a different pair of shorts. For reference, I've been primarily wearing prAna Hybridizer 10", size 34", for the past 5 years. I got the Rolling Sun shorts in 34" waist as well. Will I be keeping them? Yes. Are they as comfortable as the prAna Hybridizer shorts? Unfortunately not -- at least not for my body. The downside: These are a bit tighter in certain areas that cause my boxer briefs (ExOfficio Give-N-Go) to ride up & bunch up more frequently than the prAnas. The upside: The pockets on the Rolling Sun shorts are excellent. They're large, pocketed phones and whatnot rest really well in them, and the zippered pocket zips really smoothly.

Lightweight, quick drying, very versatile.

Stylist. Versatile. Great for the lake, the golf course or hiking the trails. Due to use, some piling occurs. Wouldn't stop me from buying again.

Perfect for Every Possible Need!

Got these not more than a month ago as a go to option for our upcoming trip to the Bahamas!! They were the perfect thing to wear when the activities for the day weren't completely known. I was able to walk on the beach, explore the local area, and step into dinner all without having to change my shorts. They give you the comfort, flexibility, and breathability you need while hiking around, all the while with a look nice enough to pass for a nice pair of shorts you can wear with a polo for a nice bite to eat! Highly Recommend!

Decent with issues

Decent shorts with a few minor issues. Performance fabric is a little bit thin, but decent. The zipper pocket on the left, it goes to the back and whatever is in your pocket ends up being on the back of your leg. It is very awkward and you end up sitting on whatever’s in your pocket. Not good. Also, there are draw strings on the inside. Why? They just get in the way when you’re trying to fasten your pants.

Run huge and long

These are hilariously large; just completely swimming in these things. As another review has stated, no way these are a seven inch inseam, more like nine. Long and baggy, which I know is the “style” for hiking/outdoor wear, but these are beyond unflattering and they need some better tailoring and design. Nice fabric and the color way was great it’s too bad I looked like an absolute clown. Instant return.
