perfect for petite

I have been looking for a Patagonia long sleeve exactly like this for a while (I got the grey one with the mountains/"patagonia" logo on the front) . The ones I've found before either have the image logo on the back and only say "Patagonia" in small font on the front and/or are not in the capilene material or were made for men. This one had the cute image logo on the front and it is in the grey capilene material which is what I wanted for short bike rides, hikes, etc. around Las Vegas. I was scared about the fit because of the previous reviews. All the other reviews said to size up which would mean I should get either a S or even a M, but the only sizes left to buy online when I purchased this were XS or XL. So I took a chance on XS. I am petite -- 5'0 tall, 100 lbs, 32D/34C. I am a bit bigger than usual in my belly region due to my gyms being closed lately, but the XS still fits me perfectly (it seems to hide the slight extra weight). It is not tight on me, it is even slightly loose. Super comfortable and the amount of "flowiness" is just right. The length is pretty good considering how long shirts usually are on me since I am short. The arm length is maybe a tiny bit long on me, but not an actual issue. I definitely do not need to even consider trying to exchange for a S. Attached a pic. Very happy with this purchase.

Nice top sleeves are too long as usual. Like recycled content. Kept green, returned blue. At 5’7” why do I have to wear clothes too long in sleeves? Manufacturer always offers more men’s choices than womens. More lengths in pants and sleeves and more items in general . Here is a news flash. Women would buy more if sizes actually fit. I do not wear plus but wow so few options for those who do. Same for petites.

Best long-sleeve shirt for hiking!

I couldn't be more thrilled with the performance of this shirt!! I am always hot when I'm hiking, so tend to wear short-sleeves/sleeveless, even in more cooler weather. However, I was planning a Rim-to-Rim hike of the Grand Canyon and knew that I wanted long-sleeves to not have to worry about sun exposure. This shirt was beyond perfect. Despite over 100 degree temperature for about half the hike, the shirt felt great the entire time. This was one of the best purchases I have ever made, and I won't stress about overheating in long-sleeve shirts again as long as I have this in my closet!

Yes. They are that good.

I am in love with these shirts. I've worn these as base layers, on their own, to the ocean, on hikes, and just for fun. They've held up to the frequent use and never made me uncomfortable during activity. I have a similar shirt from another brand, but it's not the same! Pros: Loose fitting so air can circulate in warmer temperatures, yet the style has some shape to it. I love the colors offered, too! The fabric also does not pill or develop a slight texture like some other shirts do. YMMV: Despite the claims these shirts *can* retain odors. They are more resistant than other brands though. I highly recommend peeling it off once you are done, let it air dry, and then clean it. If you need to exorcise odors, then try putting it in a bag with activated charcoal.

love it!!!

I wish it had raglan sleeves - for better movement & fit- but otherwise its a perfect shirt. I want one in every color- but at $65 each. I’ll have to hope they keep up the quality & keep making them. Favorite shirt ever. I’m 5 foot 6- athletic & curvy- 130 lb & got size small. I wanted to be able to wear it as a base layer or I might have gotten a medium. Small in their cotton shirts is too small on me. I wash it on cool & air dry it & its still like new after 2 dozen washes & 3 dozen wears.

Practical item for everyday casual wear

Long sleeve t-shirt is lightweight, true to size (I wear an 8-10 & ordered a M), nice graphic and color. It is a regular fit which will be good for warm weather wear. I am 5'8" and appreciate the longer torso length.

Fits well but not upf rated and Patagonia name

I bought this shirt for the good fit, nice blue color, and great feel against my skin. Two negatives: 1) It is not a UPF shirt, and 2) the “graphic” is Patagonia’s name down one sleeve, which costs $10 more than the regular capilene cool daily shirt. It stinks to be charged to advertise the mfr, but the regular version wasn’t available in this color.

Minor frustrations, good 4 hiking & humid hometown

Capilene is my go to fabric for casual outdoor wear, good SPF, wicking properties, dries quickly, retains shape, but I would love more color options, neck options (more v-neck) and if it is a hoody please put a pony tail hole (no one wants sweaty hair under the hood). Why even have Women's/Men's colors? I see a cool men's color, but can't find same in women's sizes. So annoying.

Sun spots

First time using this shirt- Went on a at Bryce Canyon and had my arm filled with spots after my hike/ I would recommend wearing sunscreen underneath the long sleeve shirt regardless. Had to go to the doctors. Unfortunately bought two of these.

Amazingly Soft.

This shirt is very soft, like it has a silky feel to it. it's extremely comfortable, looks good, fits well. I would recommend ordering a size up than your normal size if you don't want it to fit tight.
