I decided I wanted to start losing weight and getting healthy in August of 2017. I am quite overweight and definitely not a natural runner! I tried three different pairs of shoes, but I was having such terrible pain in my calves and Achilles that I was seriously about to quit walking/running and just stick to cycling. However I decided to go to the local running store and get fitted, and these Saucony Omnis were one of their recommendations. I took them home and went to the track to try them out - no pain in my legs!!! The stability in the soles keeps my feet/ankles in the correct position and I have not had any pain in my legs since I switched. Bonus, they come in hot pink!!
I’m 5’6 and 300lbs. I have wide flat feet. These shoes saved my ankles and feet. They were recommended by a shoe store after sizing my feet. And observing my gait. My feet rolled really bad and caused a lot of pain in my fascia. I had pain in my ankles, feet, and even in my shins. Fifteen minutes of walking in the store had me sold. I noticed the correction in my inner ankles right away. The structure of the shoe lifted my foot up and cradled it. I can’t even where the unsupported shoes from before. The pain comes back after a few steps. I only wish they made high tops and had a variety of colors
Please Saucony stop changing this shoe! When I began wearing this particular shoe it was life changing and I have been a loyal customer and only wore this shoe. However they have been changing them - and the quality has gone down and they are no longer the same shoe it started out as. Those who depend on the stability of this shoe and are loyal to it appreciate different colors and improvements. What we don’t appreciate is making the shoe “cheaper” and to look like competitors shoes or something that a teen would want. Please go back to the roots of this shoes intention- stabilization!!
These shoes have allowed me to train through a stubborn case of tendonitis. They were the only things that I could walk in without pain when it was at its worse. They are so comfortable and give me all the support I need for my flat feet. Im about to purchase my second pair to run my first marathon. Im so happy I found them. They saved my training cycle.
I've been a faithful Omni-wearing runner for the past 15 years. They were perfect for my feet. I felt like I was running without shoes. Wearing the previous versions of these shoes changed my "running-life". I was able to run pain free, with no rubbing on my feet, and completely even wear on the the shoes. Not anymore. My feet were hurting within seconds. The bottom felt entirely too stiff, and changed the way I landed in an uncomfortable way. The changes pretty much ruined the shoe for me. I am so sad!
The arch support in these shoes in unparalleled- these have made such a difference in helping my knees and hips track forward when I run. I really appreciate Saucony's (and potentially the Omni specifically) fit where it's a little wider in the toe box, and narrow and short in the heel. I am training for my first half marathon and run 5 days/week in these and I'm glad after much deliberation that I replaced my old Omni's with a new pair!
I now have 3 pair, one each in all the colors. I love these shoes, for me they fit like a glove. Training for a half marathon in April of 18, has been a lot better than I thought it would be. I was properly fitted by a professional and have not felt the aches and pains I did with my previous running shoes (I've had knee surgeries and back surgery). I recommend to everyone to try Saucony when they are looking for running shoes.
I had the Omni 14s, 15s, and now 16s. With the 14s and 15s I felt like I was running on a cloud! I ran multiple 1/2 marathons in both. However with the 16s I've had them for almost 3 months now and my feet become numb almost every time I wear them. I've never experienced feet problems before but my feet kill after running just a few miles in these. I've been trying to find the 15s but can't find them in my size anywhere.
I've been wearing the omni for about 5 years and have always loved them. The 16 is not doing it for me. They shoes squeak so loud when I walk- more so on the left foot than the right, and I'm having inner knee pain in my left kneenow. Not sure if the stability changed or what, but I need to go back to the 15 or another previous model. Hopefully switching out of the 16 will ease some knee pain! disappointed, ugg
I have run in the Guide for years. I am getting older and wanted a shoe with a little more cushioning. I went to my local shoe store and was fitted with the Omni. I have run in them several times and the heels slip the whole time I am running, I have tried relacing them but it didn't help. I am so disappointed because I spent a lot of money on them and cannot return them.
