Just awesome!
I needed a light for a ride coming up since my night rider 2800 pro was a couple states away. I had owned a NR 750 in the past and was not impressed. I picked up the NR 1800 and had high hopes of filling my needs. It.seemed good, but when I turned it on at night I was like wow, where has this been my whole life!
nite rider bike lights
Nite rider bike lights are the best bike lights you can get. I been using them for over ten years. I started with a small 350 lumina and now I have 2 1100 lumina. Now I want to go higher 1800 lumina . You need to have a great bike lights when you ride early in the morning 5 days a week to work and sometimes going home to. You know they are great when people are tell you. Man your bike lights are so bright. That’s a good thing. It tell you they can see you and it’s all about your safety. They are worth every penny you spend on them. You save a lot of money not having to buy batteries for your bike lights.I give them 10 stars
buying #2
this light is awesome! im actually on line to buy a second for my wife since we're soing 5am mt bike rides before work.compared to the the lights many many years ago, these new lightrider lights have been amazing, but stepping up from the 650 to the 750 and now to the 1800 is a game changer. this light is so bright and the battery life has never been an issue. sometime i am able to get 3 rides out of a charge. yes people complain about the dedicated charger,no big deal, plug it in to the outlet. on full power and boost this thing is crazy bright and my wife and riding partners have had light envy. so with number 2 on the way the wife will be happy!
Nice light with a drawback
I own several Niterider lights and was excited that they came out with this dual LED model. When I brought it home and opened it though, I discovered to my horror that it does not have a USB-type charger. The charger is an old-school round plug which would require that I take the supplied cord with me. This is a problem since I often recharge at work or use shared USB cables when I go on bike tours. Unfortunately this is a deal breaker for me until Niterider switches to the standard USB cable that nearly all other bike lights use.
great light
I really like this light. I like the clamp and you can manually tighten the light to your handle bars. it has several modes of brightness of which several are very bright. battery last for my entire ride which is about 2 hours. I don't usually use it on its brightest as it might blind cars coming towards me. if no one is coming towards me, than I kick that light on full. this is meant more for road bike. its a little heavy to be using off-road. the constant bump on trails might cause it to droop but on roads it stays put! i'm impressed it with. does better than other bike lights I have. at first I was hesitant to buy it as its price is kind of high but when you compare it to others that are multiple light, they get really expensive. so in all fairness, this is decent priced for a 2 bulb light.
Freaking Great
Great light. Sooooo bright. Battery life is pretty good if you use blinding sun mode sparingly. It charges quickly with an included, dedicated DC charger, just like in the olden days - you know, the '00s. Nightrider explains this is to keep the charge time reasonable vs USB. Not sure why people folks would complain about that. It's like complaining that your Porsche needs premium gas, and then rating your Yaris higher because it doesn't.
Works great for MTB
I picked up two of these for my daughter and myself. We use them at mountain bike practice toward the end of the season (October, November) when it gets dark early. They are plenty bright and the battery seems to last forever even without recharging between practices. Compared to the smaller version of this light (Lumina 900?) carried by others on our team, the beam of light is much wider and much brighter. This really should be paired with a helmet-mounted light to aid in the sharp turns, but it is not a flaw of this light.
Lights up the trail like a floodlight.
Purchased this for the great combination of long run time on low setting (which is still 500 lumens) and the ability to really light it up for downhill stints under the tree canopy where there is zero moonlight and really dark (I ride a 45 mi riverside bike trail). I was not let down. My riding friends were astounded at how bright this thing is, and the dual beams really put light where you want it. Worth the price 100%. I'd definitely buy again.
niterider is the best!
I have had it for 2 weeks approximately and I have already ridden longer and faster! It makes me feel safe! a little difficult to switch to the Boost! But no big deal after a couple of rides.
very bright light, very poor mount stability
I am happy with the light output. However, the flimsy mounting hardware lets the light beam bounce up and down with every little pebble on the trail. Extremely annoying. I had to secure the light with an extra bungy cord to keep it from flopping around. This is due to a very cheesy design on the quick release mounting system. The battery life is shorter than claimed but the light is so bright that is less of an issue than the absolutely flimsy mount. Brightness 4 stars, stability on the bars, zero stars.
