I LOVE my new Flylow Smythe Bibs!
I LOVE my new Flylow Smythe Bibs! - ROKK! - These are WONDERFUL!
A bib accomplishing everything I've wanted!
I just picked up a pair of these bibs, so far so good! Super light, pretty durable feeling material (similar to another companies lightweight bib, but that is more of a 3/4 and a bit more $$$), excellent pocket placement, and overall just great! Pocket placement is great, fit through the legs is great (slightly better on the "fitted" side than Baker bibs) and the midsection/torso is very similar to Baker bibs. I'm not a little guy (6'3", 215 lbs, non-athletic build if you get my drift), and the XXL fits like a loose L or fitted XL from most companies Getting these on the snow this weekend, I will adjust if needed, but I highly doubt that!
Best bibs I've owned
My favorite parts about these bibs are that they're super light and extra breathable! The fabric allows you to move smoothly and never gets in your way. The pockets are in the perfect places so all of your stuff is out of the way of backpack straps. I've owned several pair of bib pants over the past couple years from various brands but these definitely outperform anything I've had! I'm 5'11 175 and like the large fit.
Pretty Great Touring Bib
I have been using this bib for about 3 months now, and have put a significant amount of mileage into them. I am happy that there are so many functional features to this shell. The front pockets on the bib have been super rad. Really good place to stash chapstick, crystal card, slope meter, compass, etc. I've found that the pant breathes pretty well for the most part. The only issue that I've really been getting is that the actual bib creates a swamp effect and it leaves my chest region pretty soaked after a long day on the skin track. Obviously if you're wet you're not warm! Besides that, the pant is rad. I appreciate the Cordura cuffs and the extra room for movement in the knee. The bib moves with you, and it's definitely durable. Super waterproof as well. Really I think that this is a solid choice, and the only minor issue I had was a lack of breathability in the torso region. If you're all about light weight function, this is a solid choice, for sure.
